  • I use Linux nowadays, but I still have dual boot cause of some games. I use LTSB debloated with stopped updates and telemetry.

  • This is next level national fck up. 🤣

After 3y in UK I understood imperial system but I still hate it. When I watch a video when they mention imperial system I just don't bother to finish it.

  • Honestly, whole EV mania to became eco zero carbon whatev is just lobbying push from corporate conglomerates to simply make more money. It has nothing to do with saving our planet. Every intelligent human can investigate enough to find out that the whole EV industry is more polluting and dangerous to nature than classic cars. There are better ways to go, but they wouldn't make much money of it. There is no way in hell that I will ever own an EV.

  • I pay 30$ for 1Gb/s down, 250Mb/s up. It's usually around 40$ in the Czech Republic.

  • The Legend of Stargate

Hell, I'd like that a fucking lot. 😇😅

  • I have around 24TB of drives. 6TB Home Theater NAS made of HDD and Pi4. 2x 4TB as a backup for my NAS and some other files. 4TB SSD in my PC (78 games installed) and in my PS4 (150ish games installed). Important games I backed up, all movies, shows and documentaries are backed up, plus my files (photos, documents, pirated software, etc). Plus most important things like family photos and documents are backed up online (encrypted) and offline on sd card and flash drive.

Considering expanding of my collection.. Every show and movie I enjoy is added to my NAS. Same goes for games, but I tend to buy them when they're cheap or I'm so excited that I preorder. I don't play that much anymore. Last time I preordered Hogwards Legacy and before ME Legendary Edition.

  • I believe that most of the people, including myself, are still waiting for proper 3rd party apps. I still use Boost for Reddit untill the developer releases Boost for Lemmy, then I switch completely. The app I'm used to is more important to me than the platform I'm using. But.. Needs to be said that Reddit's behaviour is horrendous and therefore I don't want to be using it. The future is decentralised..

  • The battery, though glued to body of phone, is still easily replaceable. I don't understand why people complain about it. Just remove the back with heat, use IPA to remove it, glue new one there and glue the back and you're done. Yes, you might need some tools to it, which are cheap, or you just use your imagination and use what you have home. Only thing which you really need apart from new battery is the glue to glue back the back of phone. It cost me 1$ on ebay..

  • I'm a warehouse operator but I'm in love with tech since my first PC. I love open source stuff, I also use linux, I always root my phones to gain proper control over it. Basically enthusiast..

  • Well done, mate, that does really work. Untill Boost for Lemmy is out I'll stay with the big brother. THX a lot. (y)

  • What kind of workaround do you have?
