Any business that can’t afford to pay its workers a living wage shouldn’t remain in business.

“The Economy” is code for rich people’s wealth. The poors can’t afford to save money which means it’s all in circulation just waiting to be snapped up by the donor class.

I had a co-worker whom I accidentally renamed to Cunthia in several large distro emails.

I not a dev or anything. But my understanding is that it all comes down to leveraging all the capabilities of 1 single hardware configuration. You can tune and optimize your code to extract every bit of performance out of the consoles hardware because the hardware (and software too I guess) doesn’t change. PC games are much MUCH harder to optimize. Users can have a near limitless variety of hardware, driver, and OS combinations that prevent such a high level of optimization.

No. You get the status quo with all those funds being absorbed by contractors for operating costs. Nothing substantive will change. Did I mention budget overruns? Those also.

Agreed. I can’t see the GOP pivoting away from Trump voluntarily nor Trump voluntarily agreeing to be off ballot.

It’s funny, I specifically remember Biden saying he was going to be a 1-term president and that he wouldn’t run for a second term, handing off to a younger person to take up the proverbial torch. I think it was in relation to debate questions about his age.

Sad to see that isn’t panning out.

Maybe providing an alternative candidate to pivot away from Biden if he continues polling so poorly against Trump?

Also, DeSantis is polling so far behind Trump currently, why should Biden go work ‘em over? Send out Newsom to handle the light work.

Flash a stripped down rom like LineageOS with minimal google services. De-crappify it. They are well supported and documented on XDA.

Ive never used a chromecast. Can they be flashed and de-googled?

I like Android overall, but I try and avoid as much google as I possibly can.

I made the mistake of using the LG smart tv features for like 2 years. I set up a pihole to block ads and eventually WebOS just quit working because ads and trackers did t work anymore. I factory reset the tv and switched over to a Roku stick. That worked well for nearly 4 years. Now I’m on a $19 ONN 4k streaming stick from Walmart. It’s actually kinda beef for what it is. Made by Asus and flashed LineageOS on it. Audio drops out and requires a reboot every few days. I want to move to a Nvidia shield but haven’t had the funds for it because I’m in a kitchen remodel.

You’ve got my vote for M4A. My partner has all kinds of health issues and as I get older I’m getting more and more myself. It’s wild that most any diagnosis of any affliction is pretty much a financial death sentence for anyone but the wealthy. We are what I’d consider lower-middle-class and live very modest lifestyles. I feel like we live in bizarre-o world with how bad things are and everyone just keeps trucking along like everything isn’t coming apart at the seems.

It’s kinda worse than that though. They feel it’s their moral imperative to force their ideologies on us. That they are fighting some holy war against evil. They have to win by any means necessary. The most ardent believers think that the country is already evil and can only be washed clean with the blood of…. I guess anyone who doesn’t share their views. Right wing extremism is all over the world, not just the states. And it’s damned scary times right now.
