How about making sure 100% of US residents have access to clean, safe tap water first? Eliminate lead and forever chemicals. I don't feel strongly about fluoride, I do feel strongly you should be able to drink water from your kitchen sink without having to worry.

It's infuriating are schools aren't doing a better job.

Well I updated my computer and my audio stopped working; to the logs! Lol I love Linux, but find myself asking "what now?" much more frequently with it..

With windows it is more like "wtf is this new ad on my start menu?" Or "how can I opt out of all these features no one ever asked for?"

In what way would "we're cutting property tax in half!" not work? No one enjoys paying these taxes. But if the state can't slash the rate in half and pay for it, how will just throwing it out the window with no concrete plan do any better?

I agree property taxes are problematic for fixed income people and low income people. I just think they need to show how they can pay for essential services and cut taxes at the same time, without just gesturing to money they may tap into.

I don't understand why it has to be all or nothing? It seems like they could reduce property taxes, see if the other funding sources can cover the difference, and measure how it impacts programs that were traditionally funded by these taxes. If they can prove it covers the difference with no impact, then think about reducing the tax rate further..

If they approach the change incrementally it would benefit everyone. If they instantly reduce the tax rate to 0% it most benefits the rich folks with expensive property.

Yeah a dozen or so commits updating readme files isn't exactly compelling stuff. Any of us could do this in five minutes on GitHub.

I think the really rich people want trump to win. Unfortunately because of that he probably will. I really hope not, but the oligarchy gets its way.

I don't think this was meant for, obviously, really smart people like you. It is to give a sense of scale that a working person understands. The concept of a billion dollars isn't easy for most people to actually comprehend.

I've been writing code professionally for nearly two decades, and I love having copilot available in my IDE. When there is some boilerplate or a SQL query I just don't want to write, it'll oftentimes get me started with something reasonable that is wrong in a couple of subtle ways. I then fix it, laugh at how wrong it was, or use part of the proposed answer in my project.

If you're a non-corder, sure it is pure danger, but if you know what you're doing it can give you a little boost. Only time will tell if it makes me rusty on some basics, but it is another tool in the toolbox now.

I'd probably make the cabinets above the stove smaller so a microwave with a vent hood could be mounted above the stove. Maybe try to get a small purple cabinet over on the left too.

The top left, weird blank space where a cabinet should be bothers me the most. Overall this has a weird rental property vibe with the reused, painted cabinets.
