  • Ha, working in healthcare you get called every name and slur there is. Worst for me was emergency room and when I worked a specialised intoxication ward. You can really learn sonething and fill up your 'alternative' vocabulary.

One time that stayed with me, was a patient calling me a 'Dictator'. But it was acute psychiatry and most patients were there on court order, so I kinda was dictating what they could and couldn't do.

  • I just went and subscribed to Asian. Problem is, that it doesn't have any description, no moderators, no rules. I'm not Asian myself but lived in several Asian countries and I am interested. I don't know if this place is meant for Asian people only or for Asian news or a general interest in Asia or just another place for Asian only fans accounts??

Someone has to take it on and make it a community, a place to hang out and share stuff.

  • Don't use his name. This is the glory people like him are striving for. No matter if they are shooting up a school, a gay night club or a president, they want to be imortalised by the media and social media so their name is forever remembered.

If we anonymize shooters there will be one less incentive for future shooters.

  • History repeating itself like a carbon copy.

It's not supposed to happen this fast. There are supposed to be centuries and several generations in between until humanity forgets the atrocities and repeats their mistakes. It's like, as soon as eyewitness' are getting scarce the world acts like it never happened.

  • If just everybody would get up and vote!

I just saw a post about Trump gaining and now leading in every swingstate.

Its the same with the shift to the right in Europe. There are just too many people uninterested in politics or not voting because they don't like any of the candidates. These are the people who have to wake up and understand that democracy is at stake and that they are responsible for it, if they don't vote! The extremists will ALL be out there voting so we can't really allow ourselves to be indifferent.

Lets all just follow France as an example.

  • America is just shouting out of every place: "Down with democracy, down with the constitutional rule of law! Hail to a fascist state!" And still the biggest discussion is about some fumbling and age.

An authoritarian dictatorship is so clearly in your furure if you guys don't wake up and spend your energy fighting against THIS instead of one another.

The rest of the world is really relying on you not to fuck this up.

    Please?

  • As long as they pay for the skills they ask for and its a doable workload, I don't see the issue. Its not as if they are asking for master degrees or to do it all in an unpaid internship.

  • "Angst" in german is just the translation of normal fear. It doesn't has the implication of existential threat it has in english.

I think you guys got the word from Sigmund Freud and gave it a very loaded meaning it doesnt have in german.

  • That is a pretty big accusation you are putting on health care professionals.

Of course the cost often is a deciding factor on what treatment is possible. I've seen this in european hospitals as well, that we couldn't run certain diagnostics or give certain medications because they were too expensive and would mean the hospital spends more than it gets for the patient.

But what you are saying is that doctors and in consequence nurses, medical technicians and all kind of medical staff are all in on a conspiracy to MISDIAGNOSE ON PURPOUS (!!) causing bodily harm (again on purpous) to their patients in order to get payed by insurance?

Please provide reliable sources and proof for this accusation of significant criminal activity that is apparently the norm in your ("here" means the US I assume?) Health care system.

I understand that your health care system is wack. But the fish stinks from the head and that's usually not the medical staff providing your care, which you are accusing of serious crimes here.

  • Medicine is not an exact science. Every human body is different and will react different to treatment or show different symptoms.

That your doctor couldn't diagnose you right away or a treatment is not working for you as wanted (or as it did for your neighbor) has most often nothing to do with the competence of the medical personel but with the fact, that your body is not a massproduced machine but 100% unique a änd individual biological mass.
