This is the third story like this, wrongly convicted felon who didn't get released as their conviction was overturnt I saw in the last few weeks. And surprise! All 3 were black people. (2 black man, one black woman).
This is rich comming from a guy who at least for his older kids was never a real present in their lives and who in turn decided they don't want his present. One outright cutting all ties and changing their last name to their mother's so they won't be associated with him anymore.
Now I went and had a look at reddit too and I must say that r/SapphoAndHerFriend has become a lot more "male" since I left reddit. I'm quite sure that back when reddit was still fun and somewhat authentic, this sub was mostly female.
Maybe I missed some development here and the meaning did change. I'm far from being an authority on this.
It just rubs me the wrong way, that a tool to point out female queer erasure now puts women to the back again in favor of queer men.
Since when do we use Sappho to refer to all things queer and not Lesbian specific?
Sappho was the OG lesbian (as far as history remembers) from the island of lesbos. That's why we call lesbians lesbians. And the whole "Sappho and her friend" thing comes from centuries of historians calling her love poems to be about "friendship".
I know there is gay erasure too, but why do we have to make everything about men?
Turkey applied to join the EU and it's predecessors since 1987 but an application is not an acceptance. And it will definitely NOT happen while Erdoğan is their head of state.
The EU never declined Ukraine's application, but the process is a very bureaucratic and lengthy one. Ukraines application is on a good way and they will be a full EU member way before that's ever on the table for Turkey.
You might be talking about the NATO. Turkey is a member since 1952. Way before Erdoğans time and while Ukraine was still part of the UDSSR. But again, Ukraine wasn't denied here either. They are well on their way to become a NATO member.
He obviously milked it to the maximum. That ear bandage he was walking around with, was obviously a PR thing too. It did never look like a medical professional was anywhere near that.
products must last for as long as a reasonable consumer would expect them to last (for example, 10 years for a large appliance like a fridge),
I never heard about anything like this in the EU. If my fridge or washing machine breaks after 2 years and 1 week I have no legal claim towards the manufacturer.
Actually most big electronic retailers try to sell you additional warranty with the product you buy. So you pay extra to extend warranty to 5 years.
This is what her hot air balloon of a excuse for a farher said, not the article. Be angry and speak out against Elon Musks bigotry. Not about what you "think" an article you actually didn't read might have said because of your interpretation of a headline.
We all should know by now that this click bait shit is all hot air most of the time, so why play into it?
I feel like a lot of people here still have to learn how to deal with todays sensationalist
internet media. Don't believe everything
you (didn't) read at first glance.
If you consume todays "news" only by headlines, without looking behind it and using your own common sense and critical thinking, you are bound to come out with a very distorted world view.
I feel for her so much. Imagine how this feels to have a father like that, who spits on everything you are and then brags about it to millions of people.
She is obviously not a public person and still he drags her and his personal hatred into the public eye of millions.
The mandatory warranty for any product in the EU is 2 years. It doesn't take into account products like cars that you would expect to be usable for 10+ years.
I doubt you could claim anything in the EU either after more than 2 years.
I'm not an expert on this, if there are some regulations I didnt take into account, please correct me.
