  • You see this often in data centers where a set of double doors open on an exterior wall to allow equipment to be forklifted onto upper floors where a freight elevator may not be available. Idk how to make that sentence less dry, sorry. 😬

  • I am happy to admit I was wrong, I really thought Biden was the best shot this late in the race. I grossly underestimated how strong and positive the response would be for Harris, given her performance during her previous presidential run. It feels fantastic to be wrong.

With that said, I think it's a bad faith argument to lump all concern together as concern trolling. If enthusiasm had been weak, the shoe could have just as easily been on the other foot, with countless armchair politicians lamenting those 'fascist agitators' who convinced Biden to drop out, thereby handing Donnie Dipshit the presidency.

Hindsight is 20/20, I'm just glad we're still in this.

  • That's the thing about a war time economy, you produce one tank, and BOOM you've added $3.5MM to your GDP. A single SU-35? About 16MM added to GDP.

You can't eat tanks and jets though, the labor and resources used to maintain a war footing are vast, and must be poached from other areas of the economy. The longer you maintain this posture, the more dramatic the contraction.

Gazprom posted a loss for the first time in decades. They sell one of the most profitable substances ever discovered by man and they still couldn't turn a profit.. despite how little the sanctions are impacting them, no less!
