I think the point of this post was the lack of regional pricing, so for them it is not a $20 purchase.

This discourse in these comments is stupid. People can complain about Sync if they have something to complain about. It's a fucking forum. Personally I hate the idea of restricting features and using ads to get people to pay, especially when I have several FOSS apps that work perfectly for me, I don't think Sync feels any more "slick".

There, that's my opinion. I don't like Sync and I'm not attacking anyone for using it.

Just not true. Proprietary software starts on the wrong foot by asking, "how can we make money from this?". FOSS software is clean from that bs and it's so easy for it to improve since outside people can (sort of) aid in development. I use proprietary software as a last resort and it doesn't happen very often.

That is so the opposite experience for me. Every other distro for me just ends up weird after using it too long and I get the symptoms you mentioned. Nixos always stays perfectly clean for me like I never touched it. My hardware (long story) does change my experience a little though.

I wish we could just manually change english. Forget all gendered pronouns because they shouldn't even need to specify. Just animate/inanimate singular/plural.
