If only some group of people who were against fascism were loudly warning about the signs a decade ago and how we needed to band together and stomp out the embers before they became flames. If only a group like that existed surely they would have been listened to. Perhaps they could have labeled themselves Oppose Fascism or something catchier . . . /s

At best the opposite of everything there would be a good start but much of it isn't really reversible. Well turns out having the same facilities with the same personnel and less media attention means worse results. And for all that, we get dems pushing the strictest and most right wing immigration bills they ever have, and still not getting it done. I've come to the conclusion America and Americans don't really care about migrants unless they can use it as a wedge against the other side.

The implications are great through. The Russian soldiers who would defect or abondon the army get to see that other soldiers who do that have paths to residency. Even if someone tries to play this system, and they will, it helps encourage Russian deserters which is smart when intel says their confidence and morale isn't high.
