A friend and I just yesterday talked about that and how we both visited some random sites/communities back then. How we had ICQ Chats with adults as 13-somethings, phone calls, about the blogosphere, how some Internet friends asked whether you needed something and send it on a disc via Mail.

I suppose if I were a teenager again, I would be here too.

Tension over there is huge. After I turned a little more political in my comments, it took me only 2 months or so to accrue 3 temp bans. The appeals were not heard, they are wrong and don't care. The last appeal got me booted forever. Prepare for way more users.

I'm pretty sure that appealing a temp ban (my 3rd, all in a short time) led to them permabanning my account. None of the posts violated the rules they claimed.

Someone recently gave me a voucher for them. A few minutes later I mentioned my intention to boycott them indefinitely – awkward.

Anyway, I used it up (since it's essentially lend money to them) and closed my account after.

They are power hungry and don't give a fuck about user retention. It's a purge.

Imagine thinking a "theft" of the idea of a trash can looking like a futuristic car dreamed of by kids in the 90s is something to cry over.

In the first winter, the shipped camera app crashed the phone. That was fun. Also, battery life is still... Only okayish. Would buy again though, awesome otherwise.
