  • That’s a good point. Fan hosted wikis have the same issue unless they’re maintained and funded by users. Big wiki companies are becoming scummy.

I get not every game is on steam, and not everyone games on PC, but maybe Steam could implement something like this as I don’t think they’re going anywhere anytime soon.

Or maybe we need to bring back good ol printed game guides.

  • I get that wikis cost a little time and money to host and run them, but the studios/devs should offer up a wiki on release that could be moderated by a combo of employees and/or volunteers. They’re losing the opportunity to drive community engagement and keep it all close by letting these big wiki sites it up all the competition.

  • I’m with you on that. I’ve built dozens and dozens of node apps both professionally and for personal projects and yeah maybe the package installs could be faster, but the overall performance of the server has also been pretty good. If node is slow for you, maybe there’s some other optimizations to be made rather than switching the next new things as a solution.

  • This seems to happen with popular posts/news here because they’re each posted on a multiple instances, or different magazines within an instance.

Most apps give you the ability to filter by keywords. I have anything Elon related filtered.

  • Don’t really align with either Democrats or Republicans, but it’s sad and angering to see a politician seemingly unfit for office holding on to the last bit of power possible. Decent people would recognize their time is up and let someone else take the limelight. This goes for both sides.

  • Communication and understanding. First marriage, there were tons of fights and the anger that lingers on from that trickles into other conversations that would normally be harmless.

This time around, been my by SO for 3.5 years and not a single fight. We’re clear with each other when we don’t like something said we bring it up. And constantly bringing up our honest thoughts and feelings.

As far as understanding, we took the approach of throwing all cards on the table right at the beginning, expressing our ways of handling things, good/bad habits, all of it. Left no room for unexpected surprises later on.

  • I don’t know if perfect reproduction necessarily sounds better. It’s probably subjective, but projects I’ve worked on that were tracked with tape have a quality that you can’t get from digital. I’m not talking about tape hiss or anything like that. There’s a roundness to the sound.
