  • Stray!

And I did get it from the Steam sale.

It had been on my radar for quite some time. Partly because it's gotten such great review and partly because it's from Annapurna, they seem to release pretty sweet games.

And it's great! Highly recommended. :)

  • Firefox on Linux here, nothing has changed on my side but it suddenly feels better for some reason. :)

  • I like rolling distros so Arch if you're in the mood for some tinkering and really customizing your system the way your want it or openSUSE Tumbleweed if you'd rather have it up and running quicker with a premade polish.

  • I had written a reply but the site went down and ate it!

I read almost exclusive sci fi but when I feel like something else I really enjoy something like Steve Berry's Cotton Malone books or Dan Brown's Langdon books.

I love getting sweeped away in modern day indiana jones like stories about secret societies, myths and historical facts intertwined with fiction.

Extra credit to Berry for always ending his books by telling you what was real and what he embellished.

  • It's always a bit sad when something you love starts feeling more like "just" work.

Sounds like a good plan to chill a bit and rub shoulders with the mortals.

You guys are probably going to have to recruit more mods in the near future to avoid burnout if we keep growing like this.

    Hang in there!

  • Haha yeah, sorry! Guess i should pay more attention!

  • I finally got around to playing Stray and it's such a good game!

It always sounded like such an odd concept to play as a cat but it actually works quite well!

    Would definitely recommend it!

  • I can accept having an algorithm flow as well, like instagram used to have when entereing the search tab.

It really bugs me when scrolling through my friends and such and their posts come in a different order each time and as soon as I've hit the end of unread posts I end up in algorithm land again.

Just let me have an option to only view the stuff I follow on the main tab/area.

  • Great job keeping the site safe guys!

Nice to see it back up again! It being offline was surprisingly palpable. Missed it!

I'm guessing it's probably not the last big thing that's going to hit Lemmy instances in the future, everything still being in early development and all. Only things we can do is keep an eye out, have vigilant admins and plenty of backups!

And patient users but we seem to have that. :)

  • You're making me hungry! Sounds good and satisfying to have your own produce on it as well!

  • That looks extremely tasty! Everything home grown?

  • It's shortened from what I actually wanted, NorthernLightMountain, since that was too long. That in turn is based on the main antagonist (MorningLightMountain) in my favorite book from my favorite author, Peter F. Hamilton.

I live quite far to the north so I figured it would be a nice twist on the name.

Used to go by other handles on other sites but figured I'd start fresh over here.

Still hoping for a change to a bit longer display names. :)

  • More than twice that of OS X? Pretty impressive!

  • You can still get your follower feed in chronological order by clicking the instagram logo in the corner and selecting Followers or whatever it says. Can't make it the default though and it really sucks.

  • The biggest problem for me with the commercial social networks is the use of algorithms to try and spoon feed me with stuff.

I hate that. Let me follow people or stuff I like and then give me that in a chronological order, that's all I want. Stop injecting other stuff in my own curated feed, it really shouldn't be so hard..

  • I've had this site given as reason a few times though I myself feel it's rather overblown and feels more like a personal vendetta for some reason:

    https://manjarno.snorlax.sh/

For what it's worth I've used Manjaro myself and rather liked it. Never had a problem.

  • This looks promising! Might need to install it!

  • True!

It's not a horror game though. It's more of a creepy tension. And some bloody bits. Overall it's for the atmosphere you play it, you really get sucked into the mind of the protagonist.

  • Pretty important to go in blind with this one! It's a great game!
