  • I have a little bit of a different take on this. If we're going to kill companies for their crime, which we should cuz apparently they're people and therefore should have to pay for the crimes like people do, why not just kill companies? Instead of pretending a CEO is not just going to be replaced by another CEO with the exact same morals, cuz they all are, let's actually kill the company. Revoke it's corporate charter. Kill the thing that makes it a company. Kill the thing that protects it from retribution. Kill the things that keep all those investors and stockholders who are constantly praying for more and higher numbers safe from consequences.

  • There is nothing, and I mean nothing, that Israelis Love More than killing Americans. They love it even more than killing Palestinians. When it's a double whammy oh they're over the moon. But being able to kill Americans, which Israel does with shocking regularity, is a joy to them because they're the only country that can do it with absolute impunity. Sure some other countries can sometimes get away with it, but Israel can do it blatantly and with no sense of dread, because they know there is no way America will ever do anything about it.

  • Not for nothing but Israel has a long history of sending assassination squads and terrorist units into other countries. Not that I think that should stop anybody, but I mean it's got to be a concern right?

  • Yeah I don't think this is true, certainly nothing else I've seen indicates that this is a defined difference. Hell the page itself seems to disprove the theory in multiple places. As does the origin of the word Labyrinth. After all if Theseus was in a labyrinth with one single path why did he need a string to find his way back?

  • I kind of doubt this. I think he's taking a step back. Shrinking into the Shadows Maybe. But I doubt that much money is being abandoned by Trump. And even if musk does step back all of his cronies are still working. I'll bet dollars to Donuts that the Trump Administration is still going to do what musk wants them to do. It was a true break it wouldn't be planned. It'd be abrupt and messy.

  • Seems to me that this kind of story just proves that if ice comes for you only choice is to die fighting. You're going to be put in a hole in an El Salvador prison with no recourse. What incentive do you have to go quietly? What incentive do you have to trust the rule of law? Even if you're a US citizen, they'll throw you in that hole doesn't matter. Therefore you should shoot on sight right? Is that not what they're telling us? That seems to be the message I'm getting from this, I wonder if it's the one they're comfortable with.

  • That's because they're watered down weak martinis. The whole reason you don't shake a martini and you should stir it is because when you shake it it chips the ice and makes it melt faster. By shaking it he's making it weaker.

  • Not a filibuster, there's not a bill in question or a confirmation on the line. He's just holding the floor. I applaud the effort and certainly the message, I'm just not sure why he's doing it now instead of you know when it counted.

  • I think everything you quoted there would accurately describe influencers being paid to play a game. As to whether you believe me or not, don't really care. Why you keep digging this hole for no reason whatsoever seems rather odd to me, as does being so unnecessarily hostile for no reason. Have a good one.
