Tried Nix once, I liked it but overall found it too complicated to setup and manage for the [counts fingers] three programs I was using it for. Might be worth the while if I need a larger library of programs from Outside, but so far Debian and AppImages have not failed me.

Part of the problem is, sure, that installing an entire arch for a package touches up a lot of stuff... What I did was I set up a debootstrap schroot and added i386 arch to that so that neither they nor Steam touch my main system. Not only did I never have problems with Steam again, but I actually resumed pretty much from what I was when I got a new machine, simply by copying the schroot files over. Didn't even have to install anything (but the schroot serve on my new system itself).

Interesante. La verdad no sé si los policías (de investigaciones) de ahora o vieron mucho CSI, o poco CSI. Pero definitivamente no han visto la cantidad justa de CSI.

Es que hay cosas tan básicas. Como, no sé, llenar bien tus informes. Llegar a la hora y sobrio a la puta audiencia de levantamiento de cargos. Y es peor en las investigaciones in situ / in fraganti. Si te avisan que detienen un bus lleno de inmigrantes, entonces o vas allá a fiscalizarlo, o mandas que te traigan el bus con su gente, o delegas a un puto colega o coetáneo de otra autoridad disponible con autoridad competente. O si vas con cuatro camionetas policiales siguiendo un (1) vehículo con pendejos que van escapando, pararles el carro en tres o cuatro cuadras, antes que se salte 14 lomos de toro, atropelle 6 viejas, cruce 3 comunas y llegue a una autopista donde le tirará nitro y era.

Sí, la pega administrativa es aburriiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiida, eso es así en todas las pegas; pero si no la haces y la haces bien no puedes reclamar que los que dependen de tus resultados (fiscalías, jueces) no puedan hacer su pega tampoco.
