  • Insurance is more than “to some extent”. Insurance companies are there to make a profit and protect as much of their gross revenue as possible (not just US health insurance either). The more they give back to customers as claims, the less they have for market investment, or just straight CEO pay and shareholder dividends. One possible exception for non-profit insurance companies, but they are pretty rare (unless you’re in Florida and the state insurance is all that’s left).

  • They don’t mean flying cars that can drive arming, they really mean safer helicopter/air taxis (so quad+ copters). A bunch of tech billionaires are likely behind that inclusion, because they want to be the next air Uber, and it might actually be easier to automate than cars on the road.

I’d still a fucking terrible, noisy, dangerous, and inefficient way to do it though. Mass transit to airports, or high speed rail between more cities, is a much better investment, but can’t be as easily exploited by the tech bros.

  • There’s no point in anyone debating someone who just blatantly lies continuously.

It was stupid of Biden to do it and it would be stupid of anyone, even Michelle Obama to bother letting him spout his bullshit like he did.

The only possible exception is someone like Gavin Newsom or AOC. Someone who could bring the zingers for his bullshit.

  • This works in single family housing, but in the city there are waaaaay more bins at each stop.

Also the garbage bag companies Glad I think, paid it make the old metal cans like Oscar’s go away so they could sell more plastic.

I think it was after a strike by the garbage men over the condition of the metal cans. I listened to a podcast about it a while ago but can’t remember which one.

  • Boston was trying to hide and store wealth before the revolution and it’s still doing it to this day.

It is so common that when Massachusetts passed its billionaire tax recently, the real estate market got worried they might lose revenue.
