  • I saw a truck with giant "Polievre 2025" flag. It's weird how the asshole conservative circle falls almost entirely inside the pickup truck owner circle.

  • The Vegemite product being sold was found to have added vitamins which are not permitted in this product as per the Food and Drug Regulations and is therefore not permitted to be sold in Canada.

Something about specific B vitamins? Donno, it is a trash article to not be specific.

  • Except TFA also says that Marmite is vitamin B fortified and is not banned.

  • Marketing is convincing people to give up money they need for stuff they didn't want.

  • Huh, who else do we know who said they would overrule a bunch of laws to make a country great again?

  • We don't have the manufacturing resources to replace all foreign suppliers overnight. Going pirate would require that all the manufacturing facilities be built, secretly, before hand because once we start we'll be cut off.

  • Ontario is way too susceptible to misinformation

People in general are stupid. People use 'apps' that they know will sell their personal information. People text while driving. People vote conservative. This is what happens when an education system is non-priority.

  • The past few years the CBC has been leaning harder right but I think that they may have been trying to butter up the conservatives because of the, then, impending conservative win. There has been a lot of anti-electric car and anti-heat pump pieces in the past 2 years.

  • Canadian farmers are allowed to use antibiotics and hormones in food animals, and tap water is chlorinated and fluorinated...

  • You missed my point, vegan meat products don't mimic meat, they mimic unhealthy crap that already does not taste like meat. Time and resources would be much better spent manufacturing and marketing traditional vegan foods (literally everything other than meat analog) it a way that makes them easy and appealing as an alternative to meat not as a 1:1 replacement.

  • Vegan meat is a fools errand, you end up making something that tastes like a processed mcnugget and has 10x the ingredients compared to just using animal meat. I would rather see (less processed) meat alternative foods that stand up on their own rather than trying to emulate the flavour and texture of meat :/

  • Water is wet, management is parasitic, any other world shattering news this week?

  • any more than it already has

So many people I know get fuming mad at the idea of higher taxes because they think their income is going to be given to the poor. It's the same 'one good move away from being a millionaire' mentality that drives voters in red states.

  • The experiment known as democracy has failed. Roll out the guillotines, we're going back to the dark ages!

  • Dear, America. As a Canadian, I have never met another Canadian who thought that the USA had anyone's interests in mind but their own. The only shocking part of this is that every level of your government was able to fail so completely at the same time.

  • Body mass index (BMI) is an anthropometric index that is commonly used in the medical setting and is a factor in assessing various disease risks but its origins are unknown by many. More importantly, BMI does not properly assess body fat percentage and muscle mass or distinguish abdominal fat from gluteofemoral fat, which is important to note because abdominal fat is associated with insulin resistance, metabolic disease, and cardiovascular complications. Using a less accurate index to assess the relationship between weight and disease risk is conceptually invalid because the use of BMI ultimately trickles into patient treatment, preventive medicine, and overall health outcomes.

Completing the quote we find that there is a more important aspect to BMI than its common use.
