  • They're more like a private storage server. You can't see what movies they have. Technically you can only download what you 'add' there, but they cache everybody else's downloads too, so your download is readily available. I'm not sure of all technicalities, but there are a few different debrid services, so there must be some way they are able to do this.

  • Nope. It also downloads the torrent for you and gives you download link or stream link to the video. Most of the time, the torrent is already on their cache, so it's instantly available to you.

  • I didn't even know it was controversial. This is so stupid. Even for an expensive camera, you would still need those accessories to make the video. That doesn't mean you can't say you shot the video on a Red camera, for example.

    btw, nice to see that blogs still exist. Slice of mind content reads better as a blog post than making text posts about it.

  • Yeah this guy is acting as if he's a programming god who created something nobody could. This instance is called programming.dev, filled with programmers who know a little something about this programming thing. I’m a 15yoe self taught data engineer, and if I understand one thing, it is that anybody can learn programming and become great at it. I’m always proud of my code, but I never think my code is perfect. Programming and technology as a whole is constantly evolving, and what was clever/genius/wizardry yesterday is obsolete tomorrow. The only asset to a programmer is to be able to always learn new stuff, because there is always new stuff and better ways to do what you did in the past. I don’t even give detailed directions to my interns because I want to see if they do things in a different way that is better than the way I usually do things.
