  • They could cram in more ads than content (Amazon does this sometimes). Ads piss me off though, slightly irrationally (I don't buy that there's any rationality to liking them), so, I can't use prime video anymore. Better to rent DVDs from my library than to deal with that garbage.

  • Gabapenten has can have serious side effects for some people, dont just go get some and go "o we gonna be good."

FTFY. Everyone's brain chemistry is different. For some, it can be a lifesaver in low doses for anxiety, for some (like me) it can be used as an adjunct to acetaminophen/paracetamol in a combination that is more effective for pain than opioids (had a minor hemorrhage in an adrenal gland - not fun), and for others it can cause extreme depression and other behavior changes.

Noone should take it without the supervision of a medical professional.

  • It's not even an OS at this point as much as adware, spyware, and malware (ex. intentionally breaking multiboot) in a trench coat. To top it all off, it is just terrible for performance and reliability (on top of, you know, spying on you and likely making that "recall" screenshots available to governments to help them find dissidents).

  • You do you, AI bro, you do you. Suggesting that anyone else use a tool that is meant to generate text that sounds confidently factual, without factuality actually being a requirement for the output is silly. Maybe if using a local LLM with a RAG (with the vector DB populated with known good recipes) and having the temp set properly. Then again, LLMs are language models and not good with numbers because they are fundamentally not designed for that kind of thing.

At that point, it's less work to just grab a cookbook from the shelf and find a recipe by looking it up in the index. If it's not in there, it's probably available in a niche source which can be directly looked at.

  • Like those that use glue to keep cheese from sliding off the pizza.

In case you're not joking, please don't trust this technology with anything that you are putting into your or someone else's body. You're going to have a bad time.

  • I've become convinced that the c-suite doesn't even care of they think AI can do a job. If they can convince investors and/or the board that they should dump money into it and their golden parachute, that's good enough.

Now, if only there was a term for intentionally misleading people investing in your leadership into thinking something is much more capable than it really is and running with the cash...

  • Version control integration

Almost always garbage, in my experience. Except for merge conflict resolution. That's unbelievably nice. But git command lines have always been more reliable and less likely to end up with broken local branches.

Seriously though. The merge conflict resolution in three panes is super nice.
