At least a banned account can still lurk without any of the restrictions you face when you aren't logged in. It's what I've been doing.
And yeah the hacked app was probably what got you banned. Heard it quite a few times. Might not be because of the app itself but because your modified version messed with Reddit's device fingerprinting and you got flagged as being somehow related to a large number of other banned accounts. They've cranked the ban evasion filter up to 11 in the last few years and it's insanely easy to get flagged now.
It's a tough position to be in for non-English and regional communities. For something like a game you can cross post in both a general videogames community and a more specific one and help people find it, but there's not much of an option for any sort of non-English non-pop culture topic.
If you're slowly losing it but like how it is now, finasteride is exactly what you want if you're alright with taking a pill forever. There are of course side effects but it's worth talking to a doctor about if you think hair loss will be something you don't want to accept.
From what I can tell that is the only time in history anyone ever used that phrase aside from everyone afterward being confused about what the hell it means
Careful if you have any Reddit alts. This particular moderator has the ban evasion filter set to the highest sensitivity on all of his subreddits (it's a Reddit feature that flags suspected alts of banned users based on account details and device fingerprinting) and will report every case of suspected ban evasion to the admins. They normally don't care but will look into it if a mod reports it. If you accidentally post on any of his subreddits with an alt the admins will permanently ban all of your accounts.
It's because low level in terms of software engineering is like the foundation of a building, while high level in terms of the skill required to do something is like the top of a podium.
It sucks because Windblown looked cool but now I don't want to support it.
