After police failed to talk him out of the booth, they set police dogs on him and swung batons at him from either side of the booth, leaving him with lacerations on his forehead and hand, as well as dog bites on his leg.
How can you call that the "role of protector"? Who was being protected? I'll concede that i'm sure it's difficult to identify people who are having mental health episodes and those who deserve to be attacked by dogs—hang on, nobody deserves that. I'd imagine it's much easier for a trained mental health professional to identify a situation that needs intervention, instead of people whose first instinct is to bludgeon. Imagine feeling scared and isolated, and the first responders response is to beat you. I'm sorry, I feel like I'm unfairly lashing out at you, but I'm struggling to grapple with the fact that you can read that article and go "I hope sufferers can understand that".
idk this doesn't feel like a bad thing to me, all things considered. most tvs have shortcut buttons to netflix (or other) and those buttons lose their usefulness if you're not subscribed. I would never press a channel 7/9/10 button, but i don't press the netflix one either.
that article reads like if my 8 year old nephew read thru my tax return. But no matter how mozilla spend their money, Google are spending money their money on much more questionable and unethical things.
If I'm close to a panic attack there is nothing like weed to bring me back to earth. Everything in moderation (which is something I often ignore, specifically with weed).
I eat more fast food than I should (at least once a week), and I do feel guilty. But I enjoy every second of it, and my diet is otherwise very balanced.
I have also stopped seeking news, knowing that I’ll likely hear all I need to know on the grapevine, and that I can look an article up if I need more context.
It’s also way more doable if you quit your current job and find another career that will not only encourage training in these areas, but financially compensate you for it, too.
I, too, am lazy. I brush at nights only, because lazy. I go to the dentist every 12 months and they’re always stoked at how my teeth and gums look. Maybe it’s genetics.
Bioshock 4, but with Ken Levine back at the helm.
