  • That would be smart and is what originally happened.

  • No it also means it’s a service problem in the sense that it’s not priced right for a geography. Pricing a game $70 where local average monthly income is $120 a month is a service problem. If you expect people from that geographic region to pay, the product should be priced within their means. And thus argument is valid only for digital goods where every new copy of the said goods costs mere few cents.

People who pirate because they don't want to pay will never, ever pay. Not worth considering them to be honest.

  • I'm on someone else's Google One, so I get it for free. For now, that means I can run yt-dlp on those pesky premium-only videos, which is nice.

  • unpopular answer: youtube premium as bundled with a wider google subscription, aka Google One or the like

  • Linux Mint, 100%. Most of your configuration will have a GUI and their flagship Cinnamon desktop is made to look similar to Windows 7.

  • I wouldn't. GNOME is too far from the Windows Experience™ for it to be comfortable for them.

  • Why would they care? They've already sold one person thousands of dollars of DLC and don't need your friend to buy it too

  • flatpak goes system level unless you explicitly add the repo as a user no matter the DE you use, in my experience

  • I sure as shit don't trust me. LOL

  • And then Special 1.mkv, Special 2.mkv, Menu.mkv

  • It's a prime example of how not to act, regardless.

  • Now imagine if the DVD/Blu-Ray didn't have any of that bullshit on it, and it just went to a menu, and just played when u clicked play.
