  • Good, maybe the FTC can start focusing on things that actually matter instead of constantly beating up strawmen.

    1. It could have consequences should something happen to Valve. In many cases the linux ports of yesteryear were inferior, anyway.
    2. Better to have the game at all. And it is understandable that they don't want to put in a bunch of extra work given they can't just pay a department's worth of people to handle it for them.
  • The technical side of the process is not difficult: The instance admin(s) appoint someone as a moderator and let them handle it.

    Now, in regards to social guidelines? That's likely to vary from instance to instance. I don't currently have one in place because I also run both of my instances' communities.

  • Legally speaking they're not going after you solely for piracy pretty much ever, at least not in America, unless you're making a profit from it.
