Pretty much when you posted that, I found this in my dmesg:
[ 715.744332] e1000e 0000:00:1f.6: Interrupt Throttling Rate (ints/sec) set to dynamic conservative mode
[ 715.965683] e1000e 0000:00:1f.6: The NVM Checksum Is Not Valid
[ 716.008541] e1000e: probe of 0000:00:1f.6 failed with error -5
Just for the record, I compared modinfo up against lspci, and the PCI ID matches, so the driver should work. Is it possible to ignore the NVM checksum and try anyway? Because any tool I can find that communicates with the EEPROM on a hardware level is made for msdos.
Derp, I don't think I ever did a modprobe.
Anyway, I did an rmmod as I found out that there's a newer version out, and I'm currently working on building the new version.
UPDATE: Newer version built, installed, and loaded.
A friend of mine donned his nicest clothes and went down to the courthouse with his fiance and a couple of witnesses. I mentioned this to my sister, and she mentioned that in retrospect, she wished she'd done something similar when she got married.
Yeah, that's the only real difference I've noticed: The fit. On my oldest kid, libro fit best. The rest were offbrand. I think it's mostly down to each individual kid and not so much the brand.
Same goes for toothpaste, apparently. I asked my dentist once, and according to her the type or brand doesn't matter that much as long as it has fluoride in it.
I fly a lot with the Star Alliance airlines, and sometimes that takes me via United. Whenever the flight is more than 4-5 hours, I start considering upgrading to business, and often I've racked up enough points to do this without paying.
I flew from Copenhagen to Singapore on business class last year, only using points to upgrade, and it's by far my favorite flight experience so far.
I have not. In fact, I'd never even heard of it until you mentioned it.
But I sure as hell will give it a go now that I am aware of its existence. Thanks for the tip!
This depends entirely on your seat. If you're flying economy, a travel pillow and a large loose hoodie helps you sleep in a position that doesn't fuck you up too much.
Bluetooth ear buds are are really nice to have. I'm tempted to say that noise cancelling isn't that useful on a plane, as there will be plenty of brown and white noise.
Depending in how long your flight is, consider bringing a portable charging method. Also, most seats on long haul flights have an USB outlet, just keep in kind that these are pretty low wattage and won't allow you to charge very fast.
But by far the biggest comfort you can buy is a seat upgrade. Something as simple as extra leg room is worth it. But if you can defend the price tag, business class is the only way to fly really comfortably.
I don't know, we usually buy in bulk. I tried finding the invoice we got after a pallet of 15TB tapes, but I can't seem to find it.
There are also different tape types depending on which capabilities you need, which of course affects the price as well. We use a few variations on the IBM 3592 tape, but most of them are WORM, and in a tape format that "anyone" can read.
Unless you can think of what could've caused this, I suggest you attend the seminars. If someone there doesn't like you just because you're you, that's their problem.
You won't like everyone you'll ever meet. And not everyone you meet will like you. And sometimes there will be actual dislike in the mix. It's just how life is.
I too prefer GOG, but the fact that they still haven't made a native linux port of GOG Galaxy causes me to mostly use Steam. I usually use GOG for indie stuff and thingsI want without it being tied to a launcher or DRM.
Oh, and I recently bought Rollercoaster Tycoon 2 there, as I felt it was about time I gave Chris Sawyer some money for all the fun the pirated version I downloaded 25 years ago have provided.
Yup. I learnt that the price tag doesn't make much of a difference. Sharpening tools do.
