  • It's WAY better than batch (not to be confused with bash) scripting. It's got some really nice features though and lacks a lot of the small paper cuts inherited from legacy shells. Look at nushell for something similar on Linux.

  • I'm actually living in California now. Very different structures to the buildings. Houses are much smaller overall too. But the landscape is so much nicer to look at and explore. I never realized how boring and flat Florida was until I left.

  • It's still early days and the devs are constantly working through bugs, server load from new users, and recently hacking attempts. It'll take some time to be stable as any new project does.

    Companies like Meta can build Threads in a more stable initial release because they already have the infrastructure and money to build out capacity. They can also reuse stable internal code that has had years of testing/improvements. But then you're trading your privacy.
