Every bit of resistance costs them time and money, and signals to the rest, that there is another way, than to just buckle down
Their fixation on Obama after all those years is just embarrassing.
And why should anyone put a photo in a sandwich?
And why isn't there one of Trump or Hitler in their own?
This just misses so much consistency, that I can't find the actual joke in it anymore.
Butt maybe I'm just picky/pedantic...
Because I asked about a detail of how a foreign country runs their government?
Sadly I do get all the shit news. I mostly wonder how this is even possible to happen in a normal state with functioning jurisdiction
In a democracy you give your vote and have no say afterwards.
In an anarchy people need to work out their social rules together.
There could also be Anarchist societies with a police force, that ensures the basic democratically created roles of that society are followed - like protecting people from just more muscle who want to rape or steal from them.
Well, the reason to change is, that specifically made AI chips perform better or use less power for the same performance.
But this is a pretty new field, and because they didn't exist (besides some intel AI sticks I have somewhere laying around), we used GPUs as the next best thing, because their architecture is well layed out for parallel computations.
So, when now new specific AI chips enter the market, Nvidia will get quite some competition, as their product is still just a GPU, and not actually designed for AI inference.
Although there have been some GPUs sold as AI specific, as far as I remember they were still the same chip and only didn't sport the outputs - but this is just from the back of my head...
Yeah, they will need to proof that, when customers use them, but it seems a specific chip design is much more suited for the task - who could have guessed ..
Robo Taxis are mostly bullshit, because we can't even handle scenes for robots in a controlled environment.
What will this robo taxis do, if snow or dirt disrupts their view?
What will they do, if they can't scan a speed limit sign at a road construction site?
That stuff doesn't work for most current automobiles that show you the speed limit, which they think is right, how should an automatic system adapt?
Even if you preprogram them for the cities, you want to use them in, there are still ever changing things like constructions.
And the AI stuff reads like the last years.
Somehow we seem to not have anything really new and exciting
If I remember that correctly, the brain mostly interacts with itself and only a little part is new "outside" information
The work we experience is just a construct of our brain and it wouldn't be stable, if it only relied on external stimuli.
As for example our eyes don't really take in a full picture, but only small parts, and the brain uses existing models to adapt to the new inputs.
So we're mostly living in our heads anyway.
Edit: but yeah, without any external inputs, I'm not sure what that model could look like and if it would be functional in any way - although functional always is linked with the physical surroundings and if the expectations are met.
The only thing, I can think of, is basic logic and math, that wouldn't require external input
Although this article I read a few days ago focuses on protests, it somehow resembles this situation imho
