  • it sounds like you are implying that FLOSS programs include annoying advertising. I don't recall the last time I saw any, and Free Software actually helps make that possible because someone else could easily, relatively speaking, fork it and release the same thing legally without the ads.

  • I mean for these kind of nut jobs I can't imagine pledging to the GG is actually significantly better than the Crown. I say that because I'm also such a nut job, at least in principle.

  • to be fair, most of those Chinese scammers probably need the money more. Most of them are in effect slaves and convincing westerners to give them money allows their handlers not to kill them. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pLPpl2ISKTg

  • yeah, I would think the cost of living would have been a bigger concern.

  • yeah, I work in automotive and "vehicle inhibit" is definatley a feature we have. I could be wrong but I think its actually a legal requirement now to sell in certain jurisdictions (I don't work in that side of the company).

  • or he just has priorities that include travel experiences that he'd rather spend his limited cash on than a hotel. Until I got old and needed a c-pap machine this was certainly my preference.

  • uhm, the pacifica doesn't fit this description (source, worked at FCA on this kind of stuff and we put it in the pacifica).

The Dodge Grand Carvan, which was basically unchanged from '08-'19 on the otherhand...

  • Regulate...Collect taxes

Two wrongs don't' make a right.

  • Yeah. Most of my formative years where spent with both of my parents living off assistance. It was steak on the 3rd of the month and ramen the rest of the month.

When I moved out I was flabbergasted to learn many of my classmates & colleagues considered McDonald's cheap and would eat out regularly, and some of them didn't even count fast food as eating out. While we would go only like when we were traveling to visit family.

  • Not sure where these numbers come from, but its probably close to true

[The actual outcome of this election with •the whole US population• as the denominator:

22% voted for Harris 23% voted for Trump <1% voted for other 26% eligible but did not vote* 28% not eligible to vote](https://pod.haxxors.com/posts/cef4a6408974013d2c4b3b1e797ecdfc)

  • i dont' care wacha all say. It will never beat a hard-wired connection.

  • against the idea of Net Neutrality

Did this ever actually do anything. The only change I noticed was that shortly after it was repealed we could actually watch YouTube videos at my mother-in-law's hosue (I'm assuming they were paying HughesNet to be able to make their content go faster than the artificially throttled maximum).

  • yep. I just with some car company would choose not to do this and advertise the fuck out of it. (looking at you Chrysler you have nothing to lose)

  • Is that hyperlink a bad copy/paste or is there some connection there that I'm not understanding?

  • I can only speak for myself, but I used to love to get home from work and contribute to free software projects I found interesting. Since I got a good paying tech job at a big company, the last thing I want to do is more of the same when I get home. (having kids around the same time probably had an influence too).

  • I guess it matters what you mean by hippies. My dad and all the other old foggies he smoked pot with in the '60s are all #MAGA now.

  • you are thinking of SaaS not Free Software.
