So, what will happen if they split their wealth, then Trump loses his half, and goes to prison? I don't care, do you?

The question is whether Trump can beat ALL 91 felony indictments. Trump may get 4 more years, and another 4 more years, repeated 90 more times. Other claims, easily disproven, are smoke and mirrors.

Immune is overstating it, strongly resistant is more accurate. I hate labeled clothing, or team clothing. It irritates me when my car has a dealer label, and do not blow smoke about how cool I will look, with whatever or wearing whatever. If my vehicle moves from A to B, is reliable, safe, and doesn't cost an unreasonable amount to operate, I am good. Does anyone else parse ads, to see their actual claims in neutral language? And filter out the puffery filler words?

Make it noise-cancelling, however, and I am very interested. NRR 33+ brings a smile to my face.

I too, am a master at finding value that others miss. I have a living, growing masterpiece of fungal art that I have spent years in creating. It is accruing value by the day and is currently in storage in a temperature controlled, refrigerated vault. For that connoisseur, this a truly one of a kind art, and beyond price, but if I have to put a number on it, it cannot possibly go to market less than a tree-fitty, two comma,USD amount. This is only one, of a full collection, BTW.

Many have commented on why police were there. In events that I have hosted in the past, security is demanded for safety reasons, AND often, it is spelled out that people trained in handling emergency situations (police) are required. It is in the contract, and if they are not there, you do not get the keys to open it.

The band director's best response would have been to tell the police that he was responsible for the entire group of students and had the responsibility to get each and every single student safely home. If the police take control, they are taking that responsibility upon themselves. And remind them that that action would be without consent of the parents.

The faces are not generated, and that is where the damage comes. It targets the girls for humiliation by implying that they allowed the nudes to be taken of them. Depending upon the location and circumstances, this could get the girls murdered. Think of "honor killings" by fundamentalists. It makes them targets for further sexual abuse, too. Anyone distributing the photos are at fault, as well as the people who made the photos.

The problem goes deeper, though. We can never trust a photo as proof of anything, again. Let that sink in, what it means to society.

Now, Fox is getting sued for propagating conspiracy theories for another $800M, J Pirro has moved to take the place of the last batch of hosts who were ousted.

This lawsuit is to recover losses caused to the owners (including pension funds of two states), of stocks caused by flagrant and repeated libel and lies, ruining Fox's reputation. There are other lawsuits pending.

Even detesting Boebert's politics as I do, this is nothing that would cause me to think differently about her.

I tried to find my reading, but the post was too long ago for my searches to pull it up. Some supporting facts did turn up. ¹ The Russian mob was warring with the Italian mob over turf at the time. ² No Russians were indicted in NY at the time, though, by my search of records. ³ The KGB were looking for assets, and Giuliani would be a plum target. ⁴ The KGB's MO is to find kompromat and keeps its victims ensnared, once they get compromising info. (Spy craft that all sides exploit.) ⁵ Giuliani needed money, even then, for his lawyer(s) and his first divorce settlement. These do not prove anything, but I find nothing that doesn't raise more suspicions, either.

I haven't found the depth of experience and quality depth in most of Lemmy, yet. Lemmy.world is an exception.* It takes time.

Solar ditches make more sense. Carrying solar panes add weight and air resistance. The trailer area is 416 ft which can hold ~33 panels if panel configurations are optimized for a trailer. Weight will be 3000 lbs, which cuts the tare payload by 6%. This is not enough electricity to run a semi with two drivers splitting driving responsibilities, running day and night, and in weather that does not have power for the cells.

Trains are the most efficient system that we have. I wonder how the math would work for trains? I expect that it would be a net gain, but the added complexity of connecting and disconnecting for each car as the cars get switched in yards would be a nightmare. Once travelling, there is little braking and acceleration, which lowers the power demands.
