It's like a prison riot. You have to fight back knowing that you will be crushed again, but if you don't Israel will just continue the slow slaughter of Palestinians.

If you can try to get some breathing room and make it painful to the other side you can hope Israel will someday stop.

Israel has occupied The Gaza strip for decades while Russia is invading Ukraine. Is kind of discounted by the occupation of Crimea but since that is in contest right now, maybe that's not so much an occupation anymore but a war.

If a crystal orb lady supports tuition free college, strong unions, Medicare for all, shrinking the defense budget to pay for social services for everybody in your entire country then yeah the crystal orb lady is probably the person to vote for rather than a status quo that has been crushing everybody except the 1% of the top.

Up at the top of the Harmony Express chairlift on Whistler in winter there is a view of Black Tusk peak off in the distance. It is a vertical black mountain top untouched by the white snow below it.

During fall the leaves of the golden larches in Manning Park on Mt Frosty turn golden amongst the green evergreen trees. There are streaks of gold trees along the mountain top and it is an amazing contrast especially because a month before that the mountain is all green.

It doesn't hurt in the short term but in the last 23 years I have worked night shift in some form for 16 years. The living a day life will catch up to you eventually.

I have severe central sleep apnea so my sleep has never been normal and I find that it actually helps because I don't get any sort of jet lag and I can sleep anytime as long as I have my machine to keep me breathing.

Lots of studies show cancer and diabetes rates are higher in night shift workers but obviously there isn't a specific cause, just knowing that it is a higher likelihood means you should keep an eye out for the signs and try to prevent it by eating right when you can.
