  • Funny enough for the right wingers that don't like the gun control in California, it was first brought in because Reagan was fearful of the Black Panthers who were openly carrying fully legal assault rifles and those white politicians couldn't handle that second amendment applying to black gun owners.

  • This one is very true. I lost my sister to brain cancer in August of last year. I think about her every day but some days the sadness hits harder than other days. She touched a lot of people's lives by teaching music to kids that would never be able to afford lessons, she played all around Europe and in North America so I know she made a lot of people happy but sometimes I just want my sister to be here still.

  • A water heater/dispenser, you can find some smaller capacity ones for under 100. I have one that was more than 100 but it's because I love it so much that I wanted a 5 liter one. I can make tea in an instant and always have plenty of near boiling water. They're extremely power efficient so they don't cost much too run.

  • I think a lot of it had to do with the way the books were so different. The first was a neonoir cyberpunk detective story, the second and third book were planet spanning adventure with some alien things going on and more body swapping which is hard when you have a main star in the show.

  • It is an amazing book series as well. I read the whole thing in a weekend.

The collection of books was made into an omnibus edition you can get on library Genesis online if you look for it. It is called Wool Omnibus.

  • John Oliver, John Iadorola from the damage report, Mike Figuredo from the Humanist report, Kyle Kulenski from secular talk, David Doel from the rational national, Sam Seder from the majority report, Lance from the Serfs, Matt Binder from the majority report. Left leaning positive male role models. I'm sure there is more but they stand out as I watch them every week.

  • They (celebrities) would have the biggest pull to get people moved onto one of these new services.

I know nothing short of the names as I don't need that kind of app or service but if one of these new places like blue sky or mastadon had an easy way to get signed up for the masses then someone like Taylor Swift saying she was signing up and to join her there as she drops twixxter then millions of people would sign up in days.

  • That fucker has been holding onto his original website "X .com" since before PayPal days.

He just finally figured out how he can get people to visit the site, he wants to prove to himself he wasn't wrong to hold it so long.

    What an absolute Xloser.

  • One guy speeding back from lunch break hit another student who was crossing the street, they went flying in the air and hit a power pole tens of meters away. All the people outside were understandably traumatized including the sibling of the person who was close by.
