I dont usw miltiple profiles myself but i imagine linux would behave much better in terms of once u set it up. But settibg it up would be just as much of a pain.
My understanding is that many chat applications incliding whattsapp use the signal protocal. However sadly signal nolonger wants to federate with anyone which i think is a huge shame and really could be the next step in global encrypted communications.

I switched to linux yeats ago but i now need to build myself a windows 11 base image thats as lightweight as possible for my vms and im dreading that immeansly. I was more thinking how hard it would be to have one server that is both a mastadon and a lemmy instance. I know backend they interact with activpub differently but i was thinking u could probably just serve both lemmy and mastadon api and do some dodgying up where/if they interfear with eachother. Not sure how u would deal with WebFinger tho.
I would test it myself exept Takahe seems to use django and PieFed is flask cos of cause we cant have Takahe also use flask that would make life to easy.
Well what one sees when visiting other peoples places is not a reflection of you but a reflection of your childs friend. Its your job to teach your child how to handle said things not how to interpret it if your childs friends shows them something you dont want them to see you should have taught them how to handle it.
