I guess it depends heavily on the airport. But gate staff usually say "have your ID and boarding card ready", but then its just that I scan the boarding card myself anyway. I usually do not check in luggage, if that is what you mean, and if I do, there are automatic dropoffs in a lot of places, and those that are serviced by staff just checks boarding card. Security gates only check boarding card. During covid lockdowns, some required that you upload your ID for online check-in, but I have not seen that since.

I have been flying in the EU/schengen around 100 times in the last ten years. I have shown my ID very few times:

• a single random stop by a security guard in rome
• had to show ID once because of mess up with my name on boarding card to get a new one
• before I started using online pre-boarding
• during most intense covid lockdown
• when france effectively left the schengen agreement during the terrorist attacks

Outside of that, I have never shown my ID to anyone when flying in the EU/schengen. I've only been to Portugal once though, but no ID check, and never been to Greece.

Online pre-boarding and automatic boarding gates, you barely even have a member of staff looking at you, let alone ask you for ID.

I think we got the fast stuff under control (special relativity), when you mix it it with like small stuff (quantum field theory), and I guess big stuff (general relativity), it is also OK, but mixing it with anything more than that causes a problem.

This is the answer. I use firefox profiles a lot. They do not only give you the separation of the profiles, but also makes it easier to manage. Want a profile for work? Make one, sign up for firefox sync with your work e-mail, now log in also on your work phone, and your profile is there too. Do the same thing for your personal profile/e-mail/phone.

Sorry, I must not have explained myself very well. I guess it is the part on receiving on localhost. What I meant to say was that I would like the smtp, or whatever, to only be available on localhost, so that no one else on the network can use the service to send e-mails.

Cannot find it in my spam-folder either, and with the mailutils mail I set also set the -r $emailFrom to something that is whitelisted in my spamfilter. But maybe my mail-service provider has some other block. Could that be? Or that it looks very fishy with an e-mail with only from, to, and subject headers non-empty?

I tried a:

but I'm not receiving anything... hmm

I wanted to try this first, I can see lemmy parsed a less-than into "lt;", which I replaced. But I'm getting no e-mails to the $recipient address. I set $emailFrom to a completely fake one, and another time as my personal, same as $recipient, address, but I'm not receiving any e-mails.

I often look around the kernel config, maybe I'm there to add support for something or whatever. Then I start reading the help snippet, and I understand next to nothing. Ok... "If in doubt, select 'n'". What? No, I am in doubt, but I want the feature! Don't try to scare me away :-)

Don't forget that sometimes you also do work for that journal, telling them if a paper is good enough or not for them, and also basically don't get payed.

I did use 'list' and forgot it is called an 'array' or 'vector' in other languages. So sure, close enough :-)
