  • Call me ageist, I don’t give a fuck, these people aren’t at the top of their game, hell they aren’t even at 50% of what the top of their game used to be. Furthermore, like you said, it’s absolute bullshit that people can make laws that they won’t see the effects of.

Cut off rep age at something like 60 if not 50. The younger generations should be the ones deciding the future, it’s THEIR future after all.

  • Totally fair, I’m not trying to downplay what he initially did, I just think focusing on the coverup aspect is, in some ways, more effective. They can convince their followers that what he did wasn’t actually wrong (even if it absolutely was) but it’s harder to explain trying to cover up something that “wasn’t wrong”.

  • What a waste of time article. Dems don’t control the house, this will go nowhere. This is as stupid as reporting on bills that everyone knows won’t even make it to the floor.

It’s feel-good fluff that won’t make any changes.

  • Whoa buddy, slow your roll. 15 whole minutes of profit? Are you trying to bankrupt one of these poor defenseless corporations, who signed a document that said “we did nothing wrong but unrelated we are going to pay you some money just because”?

On a more serious and somber note, until the fine wipes away all the profit gained and then some for the period they were breaking the law nothing will change.

  • What?

Musked it. It’s just this thing people say around your office all the time. Like when you screw something up in a really irreversable way, you Musked it. I don’t know where it comes from though. You think it came from Elon Musk?

I don’t know. Who knows how words are formed.

  • No thanks, I plug 2 cables into my MBP and get:

    • Multiple USB-A/USB-C ports
    • Ethernet
    • 3 monitors
    • Power
    • Sound
    • SD card reader
    • And a few other things I don’t use

Contrast that with my old MBP that had “all the ports”, I’d have to plug multiple things in, I still had to use hubs, and it struggled to drive 2 monitors. No thanks.

  • If only Firefox wasn’t so slow and such a terrible developer experience. Oh, and my bosses don’t give a fuck about Firefox so I’d have to retest in Chrome/Safari anyways.

Lastly Mozilla sucks. Like wtf are they doing over there? They put all their effort into shitty product they kill faster than Google does. Then they turn around and half-ass their browser while taking money from Google to make it the default search. Mozilla sucks and Firefox leaves a lot to be desired.

  • What human trash, honestly I have a hard time even calling these fuckwits human. Lied in court and did a complete about-face. That should be grounds for more jail time.

It’s a fucking shame the justice system failed so completely on this. Everyone involved should have had the book thrown at them.

If we can lock black people up for decades for a tiny bit of weed I think the least we can do is put these people behind bars for a decade.

I say all of that AND I’m heavily in favor of prison reform. But while we have this terribly shitty system it pisses me off when it’s applied so unevenly and unfairly. Maybe if we held white people (see also CEOs) to the same standard there would be more support for reform.

  • I’m going to wait to see the specs but I’m considering replacing my M1 Max with the M3 Max (when it comes out later) if the new “3nm” process gives significant gains. Do I need an update? Absolutely not, I love my M1 but upgrading has become fun again in a way it stopped being many years ago (~2014-ish or earlier) on Intel.

The M* line of MBP are just so awesome to use.

Gurman does not specifically say Apple will hold an October event, or whether new Macs would arrive via press release.

I seriously doubt it will be just a press release. If anything deserved a press release it was the M2 but no way Apple is going to release a jump to 3nm without an event.
