This is what my old housemate did, starting in the 90s. Worked out quite well for him.
My dad used went round the world with the navy in the 50s and used to talk about how some other cultures did stuff like this.
When people have tried this they found you can't just stay awake. Your brain ends up turning bits of itself off at a time, so while you can talk and move around you're basically not fully conscious and will mix up words or not be able to move at the same time. They called it "microsleep", and it's the main reason why nobody tries to go for longer without sleep any more: beyond a certain point you're not really awake or asleep.
Languages and nationalities are not a one-to-one match anyway. What would you expect from a Canadian flag? French, or English? The USA has NO official language, so that makes even less sense.
I wish people would stop trying to replace words with cute little images.
Every bad connection in the year 3453 still sounds like analogue static. Every dodgy video connection from a FTL spaceship gets VHS tracking lines as it breaks down.
Aliens connect their nanoprobes to your the main character's PC and download the Internet so they can judge humanity.
Even if they had magic tech to do this, they're still constrained by the MC's shitty 10Mbit DSL. Somehow they can download everything humanity has ever done in 5 seconds, and all while pictures of it are showing up on the monitor for no good reason.
Not going somewhere else to get more money isn't the same as losing money. That's like saying I'm saving money by not buying $expensive_item when I wouldn't buy that type of thing anyway.
If I'm a painter, I'm not losing money by not being the CEO of RandomOtherCorp. Conflate ye not.
I have a Binatone one in a crate here with essentially the same selection of games on it. It was a really common thing to clone, there was one chip that played them all.
I have no problem with using Gnome. It stays out of my way and Things Just Work for the most part as 99% of what I do is in a browser or a terminal anyway.
There'd still be an East from any point no matter what convex shape it was.
