Yeah it is a bit messed up to question if people are really trans. They are if they decide they are. Questioning someone's politics and beliefs is fine, but not who they are.
I am in a similar position in my job. I am more of a farmhand, so I do a little bit of everything. I just cope with energy drinks lol. Maybe I should get some compression socks.
I'm not sure about them now. I've recently had some good interactions with the users, and they do have some good memes. They are also very accepting of lgbtq (which is part of why I joined this instance). On another hand, some of their communities do post questionable stuff. Maybe we could do what lemmy.world did and block some of their communities but not the whole instance? I don't know how feasible that would be though.

I edited the post to more clearly state what I mean. I do not think that Turkey should be in NATO and what Poland is doing to our lgbtq brothers and sisters is awful. I found this on discord so I reposted it because I was (probably too) angry at hexbear with only the fuck tankies part to piss them off.
The Soviet Union banned it, Russia banned it, North Korea banned it, China censors lgbtq topics, and Vietnam does not allow same-sex couples certain legal protections. Communism has a much worse record.
Edit: Ps yeah a lot of the west can and should do better though.
The last thread was incredibly toxic thanks to hexbear users. If that is what they do on discussions about them then they are in effect nothing more than trolls. We should Defederate.
Yeah I was thinking of the whole piracy community debacle, not hexbear when I said that.
