  • What are you talking about, it is just an init and service manager...

The rest of systemd is an ecosystem that are optional packages you can install on top of it. They are not essential or required.

  • That's weird as fuck. Major distros use it because it's the most functional. If the other ones were as good, they'd be used. There is no "lobbying" lol, it just makes the most technical sense and is significantly more than just an init system. I'd rather users have a system that "just works" instead, since arbitrary choices aren't necessarily a good thing.

  • Bro thinks meal team six is going to stop the government lol. They are already taking our liberties. Why didn't guns save us during banning abortion? Why are guns not helping us defend our freedom of speech? Do you think some random authoritarian fucks are legitimately willing to fight the government over political differences? What liberties have they not taken already, or that they cannot take? If in some unrealistic scenario where the boomers won a small fight in some small town, do you think the government would just let them be? Do you not think the authoritarian fucks would use their guns to defend the government vs fight against it? They already use their votes to suppress our liberties, I have no doubt they'd choose to use their guns too.

  • You think it's good to let out-of-touch boomers control the government because we might cure aging soon? Weird take but ok. Also not like if this fantasy scenario happened, the boomers wouldn't get any more in-touch with reality and make better decisions. Do you have zero faith in anyone younger than 75 making better decisions here?

  • Apple just had the negotiator of the year right there, or OpenAI is really that bad.

It's especially bad knowing that I'm this setup, all of OpenAI is replaceable in Apple's code by changing a single line of code and pointing to a different API.
