  • I mean, did you read the article?

The context of that quote was about people using AI to write shitty stories and then submit them for review by humans. They weren’t complaining about AI that was supposed to help them at work, being used to hurt them at work…

In fact, the entire rest of the article is just one long anecdotal story from a single Union leader for a very specific (though broadly represented) trade group.

There’s almost nothing of substance here and I’m shocked your comment Is so highly upvoted.

  • This post is bitching about “late stage capitalism” while passive aggressively mentioning the occasional technology in parallel to their issues with the two things combined.

It’s not really technology focused at all, sorry if I wasn’t clear, I thought I was, I’m simply asking if anyone here is here because they LIKE technology, and if they happen to know a place that better represents those feelings.

Like, literally you can go almost anywhere and COMPLAIN on the internet, I was hoping this place would be a little better and optimistic for the things I enjoy.

Keep in mind before you guys decide to be hateful assholes, I’m fine with this place being however YOU guys want it, I’m not here to change ALL OF YOU for just me, I’m simply asking if there is a place you can recommend that is more in line with positive technology news, so that I can leave and we can all enjoy these places more.

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with either of us looking for something we like, and having personal opinions/preferences, that was supposed to be one of the listed strengths of this place!

  • The biggest change, though, is the incredible screen. The Pocket features a 3.5-inch LCD display made of Gorilla Glass, with 1600 × 1440 resolution. That’s 10 times the resolution of the original gray brick Game Boy. In practice, it looks absolutely amazing. Out of the box, the Pocket supports cartridges from the Game Boy, Game Boy Color, and Game Boy Advance (for other supported platforms, see the sidebar on accessories) and it’s hard to overstate just how good these games look rendered at such a high resolution, with such a bright and sharp display. The monochrome look of the original Game Boy is crisp and clear, but it especially shines when you’re playing color games where you can really see the sprites pop.

Damn, that’s really neat, I think I still got my game boy games in a closet somewhere…

  • Yep, my mistake I misunderstood the people talking in the article were workers filming it on a phone. That should be a lot easier to find, but does nothing to disprove that stopping stuff like a single dude sneaking a phone to work gets harder with the amount of dudes you employ.

  • Well agree to disagree then, you’re under the clock it’s pretty normal to be monitored for a variety of reasons.

Hate me if you want, and I agree with the issue with the leaks themselves, but being watched at work isn’t some dystopian nightmare.

  • The data leaks aren’t coming from the drivers…so I’m not sure how interviewing the victims who likely don’t even know it’s leaked, would help.

I misunderstood the source of the leaks, it was a guy holding his phone at a screen.

  • And we know that how?

Amazon is a very very large company, completely sealing up something like that would be next to impossible.

Note this doesn’t meant they shouldn’t try, only that I personally recognize the scope of the issue at hand.

Hopefully they find the source of these leaks soon though and patch up their privacy better for the drivers sake, but it’s very likely it’s just another Amazon worker leaking these.
