  • Oh thank god, I’m basically ancient at this point in gaming years, so I got my start with the OG on PlayStation.

Sekiro only gave me so many issues because it felt more like DDR fighting game than a souls game, and I messed up and thought you HAD to fight that first boss lady butterfly(?) in the first memory sequence.

Spent about one year of ADHD on and off again battling her with only the starting health and potions before beating her. FML

  • Dude, it’s social media sites being more responsible for what they host, Child Rape, suicide, animals being stomped to death. Like, you get that right?

They still have their encrypted stuff, privacy is mostly intact, all this is doing is forcing the shitty stuff that’s being posted there to be more forcibly removed. Nobody is “burning your books” by holding Meta more responsible.

  • This seems to be misinformation being spread around? I don’t live in the uk so I can only go by what I research on the internet, and it doesn’t seem to do anything to end end to end encryption. (That was fun to type!)

There will still be apps and platforms you can use encrypted, social media included. They just want ways to access the encrypted information on harmful social media sites, as a way to enforce the safety standards, which makes perfect sense. It’s social media not the DoD.

People can move over to signal or use actual apps meant for encryption. Facebook should 100% be able to see what is going on and being said on their platforms, you have no expectations of privacy there my guy. Same for all social media. It’s a publicly facing service so it needs to be guarded and monitored same as any other, and it’s well past time we started holding the platforms responsible.

Maybe once they start facing fines for not only allowing but pushing through algorithms nothing but horrible and hateful content, they’ll do a better job of moderating their environments.

  • I guess I’m an old fuddy-duddy taking crazy pills because nothing in this seems bad to me. Hell, quite a few parents have had their kids commit suicide after viewing suicide content online, this would literally save lives. And the tech companies should take some responsibility for what’s on their platforms.

  • I own both as well and am not a fanboy.

I also prefer the ergonomics of the Xbox controller, but have you used the dual sense yet? Like, on GTA you can feel the pitter patter of raindrops. You can tell how damaged your helicopter is from the shaking. You can tell where gunshots are coming from just from the advanced feedback methods. It’s stupid immersive and I wish for that experience in halo, forza, etc.

  • So all it takes for you to stop supporting a cause is for someone to make it political, no matter how good or helpful it is?

So say you find out your boss is stealing from you and you want to stop that from happening but then somebody makes up a stylized “bosses are thieves” logo, and now suddenly workers all over the country can’t do anything to fight against wage theft at work?

If someone says “the bosses are thieves”, they’re making a political statement and should be silenced? Please, help me understand how this works for you, because honestly it sounds like we’re gonna be losing a whole shit ton of rights in your world.

  • All lives literally can’t matter if you’re already excluding some in that, that’s the whole point of Black Lives Matter you doofus.

Remember, Black people count as people too, and as long as their lives don’t matter as much then the saying, “All lives matter” is false. Because if you cared about all lives, then you’d be caring about the black lives that are disproportionately harmed and murdered.

And one only needs to take a look at society here in America to see the black lives are treated way worse than white lives. Nearly all facets of our society have some built-in racism whether you’re just going to the hospital with chest pains or trying to buy or sell your house. You’re gonna get worse quality of everything just because of your skin color and that’s verifiable fact.

And yet all they want you to do is recognize that they’re being killed at a much higher rate than other people, and want you to care about that. And for some reason that triggers you so.

Saying all lives matter, and believing that is like having a life raft on a boat, and seeing some people drowning, but you decided to throw the life raft to the people at a table, eating shrimp. You know, because all lives matter. Black Lives Matter is just recognizing the drowning people and trying to help them.

  • It’s both because one side wants it to be to diminish its power. But at its core it’s a human rights issue. It’s the words Black Lives Matter, strange if you get upset hearing that and think it’s purely political and should be snuffed out where you don’t like facing it. 🤔

  • The idea behind Black Lives Matter is not a brand, though. People who support the cause are simply supporting equity and progress. These fundamentals don’t change just because one person affiliated with the marketing of the idea may be questionable.

There are multiple segments to BLM, since the fight for progress takes multiple fronts. And indeed, the head of Black Lives Matter Greater New York City, which is not affiliated with Khan-Cullors’ Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation, called for “an independent investigation” to find out how the global network spends its money.

And it turns out that the reason Patrice, the woman buying homes you’re referencing in bad faith, acquired some personal wealth from having a best selling book from back in 2018, and a television deal to produce content with Warner Bros.

I’m sure her earning wealth through program advocacy and people reading stuff won’t change anything about how you feel about them, though.

  • This is like the dude who sells the pickaxes getting mad at the miners when they find gold. So he tries to incorporate some sort of pay per swing model. Absolutely horrendous idea if you don’t own the entire market on pickaxes.
