I hear you. I do. I was taking a comically hard opposing stance to that comment but I'm really advocating for a little more tolerance for one-off posts. People who really gatekeep turn people off from posting (and we kind of suffer from a deficit of posts here on lemmy).

You're right! We should lock down every community to very strict rules in order to sanitize it and know exactly what we're getting! I want to come here for variations on "if bread bowl for soup, why not cabbage bowl for salad?"
