tbh, I loved SuperGiant's themes and aesthetics, but not their gameplay. So often early games of Bastion and Transistor felt squishy, or like I was playing underwater - the response loop from button push to effect on screen seemed laggy. Tried both on various platforms, never really got past that feeling. lovely soundtracks tho

I think that there's a substantial percentage of the idiot population who are entirely, blissfully unaware of how excruciatingly stupid they are. Sure they make mistakes, but life keeps on trucking, no consequences so it couldn't have been that big a deal right?

you've made it abundantly clear you believe this, and then double down by following it up with:

imho, you've been playing the game wrong for a long time. you need to stop thinking of the DM as some counter to your players and instead think of them as an orchestra conductor.
