Do you think giving up your voice is actually holding them accountable?

There are definitely smarter and more educated Trump supporters, but I don't count them in this group, I feel like those people more consciously and intentionally feel like Trump will help them exploit and oppress others (e.g business types, police, etc).

You understand the world is not black and white right? Like you are familiar with the word "worse"?

Voting Democrat is not choosing your gender, it only has to represent you if you want that, like Trump voters, totally unnecessary.

Voting Democrat is a strategic choice one could make so that their job of helping those in need is easier and less risky (you are working to help others right? or just throwing a wrench to make things harder for others?). Republican cruelty will put those who support Palestine or feed homeless at risk for jail and things like that. Making your own job harder to make a statement nobody will see because it will be drowned out by the presidential results doesn't seem like a very smart thing to do.

The thing keeping us from eliminating the billionaires isn’t the billionaires. It’s the ~40% of society that are convinced we have to have billionaires to survive.

I call this set the "idiot army", the activated dunces. It's propaganda, this 40% is not inherently bad people, it's guillible, low-education, low-information people that have been activated by malicious propaganda to promote the interests of the billionaire class.

The solution lies not in eliminating or dominating this group, it lies in de-activating them. The typical person in this group, if not being actively directed is too busy in their own world to destroy society.

The first step towards any sort of revolution (violent or not) or real change our world needs has to start by destroying all for-profit news. As long as for-profit news controlled by the billionaires exists, the idiot army cannot be deactivated, and any acts of heroism will be called acts of terrorism.

Edit: But how to destroy the news? Law, as long as we exist in a state, use the available tools. Focus on ranked choice voting, increasing voter turnout, and running for office to collaborate with others to make laws that prevent the news from being so toxic and so profitable. What kinds of laws? Just throwing out ideas

• Change the First amendment (bill of rights) so that it applies only to individuals. A news business or organization does not have the right to free speech or press.
  • Make the news unprofitable and risky for a business
  • This would probably have a ton of other beneficial effects as businesses could then lose the right to lie
• Any company that produces news content may not operate in another other industries, and may have no executives or board members currently in any other company or married or have children in other companies.
  • Make it difficult for the bad people to be in charge of the news

This is what the second amendment is for!

It's only baffling because of projection.

We all understand others in large part by projection. What's happening here is decent people are projecting their sense of empathy onto people that do not have the capacity to experience it.

We normally talk about projection when right wingers project their fears, ignorance, and crime onto people not in their in-group but that isn't the only place it exists.

It doesn't help to wake up too late.

Some species members care for each other. Humans obviously (some anyways), even lions I think have been known to provide food when another has broken teeth or something.

How many times have governments touted their own programs as successful and not been quite right? Are you really that easy to propagandize?

I urge you to look a little deeper and use logic. It's not easy for governments and large companies to put out press releases and bad studies to support their position. It's never good to add neurotoxins to tap water where dosage is impossible to control and the water is used for far more than tooth care.

Is there no concern about toxic substances building up in the soils in our farms and gardens? What about wildlife that has to deal with our drugged water? Is tooth decay really that important to put other stuff at unknown risk?

What makes more sense?

A) Large corporations (not known for their wisdom, concern for our well-being, or compassion) found a profitable way to deal with a hard-to-manage waste stream (from fertilizer production) by convincing government leaders (not known for their scientific understanding or compassion) to buy their waste and dilute it to where it no longer needs to be managed as toxic material?

B) Your government leaders are actually concerned about tooth decay.

Lol downvotes. Really guys? Water fluoridation is the one issue both Democrats and Republicans agree on and are doing the right thing for the people? You're being lied to, and fiercely defending the ones lying to you.

Buy fluoridated water for your kid, don't dose the population with drugs in their water.

None of that conspiracy stuff matters, it doesn't matter if fluoride is 100% safe. Don't put drugs in tap water.

They lost me in 2016 when it became clear they were not going to cover Bernie Sanders fairly. I still listen but now I view them as essentially CNN, which is to say mostly bs.

Normalize Elon's Micropeen!

I love this kind of idea but so many are against it saying it denigrates those with a micropeen, and I guess in a way they're right, but I think it takes away one of our most powerfultools. (If I was still in my bi days, I'd go for a guy w/ a micropeen 1000x over a pathetic loser like Elon, even his billions couldn't make up for it.)

As an example, I'm a trans person and it would bring me joy to see rumors about Elon being trans just to fuck with him because I know it's a pathetic person that takes being trans as an insult.

Elon is exactly that weird asshole kid in school with absolutely no mental maturation since fifth grade but his body did get older and fatter.

Saying "use a filter to remove some naturally occurring X" -- sure ok

Saying "use a filter to remove drugs added to your tap water that your tax dollars pay for" -- not ok

Yeah, but beans don’t have a brain, nerve endings or a nervous system. Sure they are alive, but it’s intellectual dishonest to think that a pigs and beans interact with the world in the same way. So yes, life eats life, but my life sustaining food doesn’t feel pain. It has for over a decade now.
