  • I see Lemmy on Google too. It surprised me at first but I like that it get indexed.

  • Maybe maybe having laws and regulations controlling misinformation on social media would be a great thing. Social media have to be accountable for it with huge fines.

A social media isn't free speech or freedom of speech, it's in most case a private company making profits. When someone post something on Facebook or whatever else, it's cognitive work so meta in this case can make profits out of it. It's fine to regulate them on what can and can't be show to the user. These services aren't the street.

The other important point is to educate people in the schools. We need programs of education to vaccination. It's not magic. Virus and bacteria are still around. We didn't magically kill them with vaccination. We are immune to them being around thanks to vaccines. Next to this, we have to educate on how we develop them too.

An other point is mandatory and free vaccination. Vaccines are too important for the human health. We can't afford people not vaccinating their kids.

  • Imagine not having enough insulation to need an AC.

  • You need a third app like newpipe to download. But, it works fine in youtube and youtube music.

  • Hopefully people get the sarcasm in my comment.

Drugs like everything else can't follow the free market. Free market means more wealth for the wealthiest and nothing for the 99%.

  • If someone is speaking about the freedom of speech, it's not to save it, it's to kill it.

  • One cartel became bigger than another one.

  • In the meantime, they told pilots to limit use of an anti-icing system in some conditions to avoid damage that “could result in loss of control of the airplane.”

The classic neoliberal move of individualizing the issue. The individual is responsible not us.

Corporation being corporation. Lives don't matter until it hits profitability.

  • A lot of researchers whose built a network on it. It's not as easy as it seems for them to switch to another social media. Each connection is important to know about new articles when they come out.

  • I also remember a bunch of people saying Elon will preserve free speech. It looked like a cult.

  • And the USSR was a state capitalism regime. I personally prefer extrem capitalism to define it.

The human was seen as a machine and health care as the repair shop for them. Breaks were provided to let the machine "cool down". And the capital was in the hand of a handful of people.

The ideology was here to control the minds.
