I totally agree with the light situation but in the opposite direction, I love being able to keep my work space lit gently when it’s dark in the evenings rather than the ultra-cool mini-stars of blinding revelation most offices like to install for lights.
There's decent evidence that 'corporal punishment' and plain old abuse have very similar effects on the psyche of a developing child, even if there wasn't there's something downright unmanly about hitting someone much weaker than you that isn't allowed to fight back.
I disagree, I lived in Ceredigion for a few years and would recommend it to anyone. I’m not saying it would be a good idea to put an all-inclusive hotel halfway up Cadair Idris but if I was a tourist to the UK Iooking for natural beauty it would be a decent choice of destination especially if you were going to drive up to Snowdonia and Anglesey later on.

Yeah I can do frontend stuff in a pinch and it'll mostly work but I wouldn't call myself a full-stack developer because I'd be taking the piss out of people actually doing frontend properly.

Sleep Token are outstanding, they were the first band I went to see after the lockdowns and it was such an incredible experience. Couldn't recommend them enough!
Yeah it sounds harsh but once a subreddit got above 100k its quality inevitably took a nose dive unless this was actively moderated against which it usually wasn’t. Lurkers are fine in general but when the whole platform is mostly lurkers looking to doomscroll TikTok style rather the lurkers wanting to read (and upvote) decent high-effort content it all goes down the pan pretty quickly.
If Reddit’s role in the Fediverse is as a great big sponge to soak up the passive users who just want quick content then long live Reddit! Spez staying on as CEO and increasingly zombifying the platform is actually great for us because it will drive active users here and keep the passive users on Reddit.
