  • Tbh 21.6% of Americans being bilingual is way better than I would have guessed. It makes sense that Europeans speak more languages. If each of our states spoke different languages rather than English being a national language, I'd imagine our numbers would be a lot higher.

  • While we don't have nearly as cool old architecture like other continents, buildings/houses from the 70s are all over. I think most historic buildings tend to be closer to 100+ years old, which is almost half the age of the country.

  • Yeah, mainly for entering prison. I can't think of a time I have ever heard of someone getting cavity searched randomly as a suspect, but I am sure there are outlier cases. Which we can probably get rid of due to improved technology, but I guess it could be understandable back in the day. I'm not to familiar with the prison smuggling scene but I imagine introducing cavity searches improved safety factors
