  • Not that it matters that much anyway, HTS is essentially a joint puppet project by Turkey and the USA.

As long as whoever is in charge follows their geopolitical demands, they really won't care how they handle the internal country.

Still at least it's a significant upgrade from Assad. Anyone would take this over chemical weapon civil war again.

  • Oh wow it's like what both Malcolm X and Martin Luther King criticized about the "liberal" party members being a bunch of frauds is still the same 6 decades later.

    Shocked I tell you shocked.

People are still assuring me Gaza would also have been magically saved if we had successfully voted in Harris.

  • Lol nah, they might be generally well designed, but they've been making it all in China (until now for tariff bypass) for decades now, so you don't get the Japanese OEM quality shine you usually get out of other electronics.

Most of the repair will be for damaged consoles. Switch 1 battery lasted pretty well considering most phone batteries begin to deteriorate around 4 years.

Aside from that though, I expect the joycon drift issue to be unfixed which will be the real issue, especially as warranties expire.

  • Bet she doesn't even know the whitehouse holds a shill PR ramadan iftar event every year regardless of the party in power lol

  • If you're wondering, they used recognition as a threatening bargain piece with the US, which wants to maintain its authority with its "allies".

Dunno what exactly Trump accepted for them to back down, but it took a month or two.

  • and not the democratically-oriented Northern Alliance which was fighting them at the time, as the legitimate government of Afghanistan.

    You're joking right

Please tell me this is sarcasm bruh

  • Cool, now we'll get an influx into lemmy.world and I'll finally have a reason to abandon this account lol

  • JVM and Android dalvik ART are still alive and well because if we could use clown circus Javascript to run WWW for 30 years, we sure as hell can use "My Big Fat Gabrage Collector: The Boilerplate Saga" to run all of our applications and backend infrastructure.

  • Yeah it's great because even without a make plugin, you can just add your make command to the vscode actions that'll run your makefile.

Or even better, get the plugin which will auto populate targets from the makefile lol

  • Dawg it was called the Crusades because it was exclueivley Christian nations fighting with Muslim nations over Jerusalem. Jews were essentially bystanders who often opted for the Islamic empire where they were allowed to live and not be constantly slaughtered by their Christian empire counterparts.

Israel as a functioning idea was introduced by the zionist movement of the 20th century, which Orthodox jews still condemn to this day because they claim there should not be a Jewish state without their Messiah.

To add to even more irony, the modern successors to these empires being Britain and Turkey actually lost interest in control of the holy land because it didn't provide any substantial geopolitical power or resources. The Ottoman empire failed to protect it and lost the entirey of Trans Jordan in WWI, and Britain noped out right after WWII when they realized it could absolve them of having to provide for Jews in Europe.

  • --recurse-depth=3 --max-hits=256

  • ATT Fiber offers 5G for residential, though I've seen people posting speedtests of 10G speeds which I'm not sure how they got because it was on the DIY fiber ONT discord lol

  • You joke but every username is already in use because bot farmers were smart enough to use some cheapo proxies for their traffic lmao

  • If it makes you happy, the constitution was created to prevent this exact scenario, which is why everything in the US is an oligopoly and not an outright monopoly that can buyout the entire government. Stuff like US Steel, Standard Oil, and the original JP Morgan has never truly been eclipsed in sheer power in the modern US.

Even with collusion, deals still fall through and billionaires fight each other because they all want to be king.

    So uh, woopdeedoo I guess

  • Dunno about Xenophobia, but most people I've talked to who studied in China seemed to have enjoyed it. Even met someone who lived there for almost a decade and only moved when he felt like changing jobs for something more relaxed.

tbf though, they came from south asia (green & white), so seeing actual quality infrastructure and not a metric ton of corruption everywhere was probably a breath of fresh air.

  • The funny thing is that statistically, there's a 43% chance that you're living in one of the other 8 countries with nuclear warheads lol.

  • I mean Israel has done this, and also failed to do it one time:

On 10th October, 2001, Israelis attempted to bomb the Mexican Legislative Assembly and blame it on Pakistan. They had false Pakistani passports but were caught.

More likely though this is not the case as full false flags happen when something much larger is at stake. Israel is sitting decently comfortably right now, even with Europe suddenly switching sides (which is more likely to do with Trump's crappy foreign policy).

There's always a higher chance of intentional neglect, like Israel's "failure" to spot Hamas's original invasion plans because they wanted a reason for escalation. It's entirely possible they were aware of a threat but chose not to act.

Then again with how fast the media is all over this, who knows.
