  • @rglullis@communick.news for some reason, i disagree with you. A LOT OF developers have different visions for their software. I think the fediverse is in a good place at this point. I just feel like communities need to be federated everywhere...

  • @itdependsman@lemmy.world @fediverse@lemmy.world like someone pointed out to me, different strokes for different folks. I think it's because im the only one interested it semms. So then, i will have to build my own PeerTube+Lemmy+Misskey instance... wish me luck :ablobcatangel:

  • @Blaze@lemmy.dbzer0.com i knew about mbin for a while, but the UI seemed too cluttered for me. I know i could just make my own client, but the thing is im lazy... 😶‍🌫️

  • @Microw@piefed.zip i understand and respect that in every sense. However, i think i made my point. Idk about other softwares, but Misskey has been dabbling around with "Channels" for a while, but the thing is, they're not federated to this day.
    Hopefully they work more on this.
    @fediverse@lemmy.world

  • @Fizz@lemmy.nz there are many english misskey servers, you just need to spend like a day looking for them (Yeah, easier to just sign up at an english lemmy server, but since i like misskey UI, worth the search)

    @memes@lemmy.world

  • yeah, some replies might not be synced over to your server if you dont mention @memes@lemmy.world if youre from non-threadiverse software. Just discovered this.

  • @DreamingNovaling@lemmy.zip but that's why i like Misskey :), its kinda chaotic.

    And idk if im blind or something, but ive never found loli on my server before.

    But what misskey lacks is communities. Sure there's channels, but they need to federate with Lemmy/PieFed communities too...

  • @Justdaveisfine@midwest.social it's not that it is better. Idk if you saw the satire title or not, but this was a joke.

    It's just a personal preference. No platform is above another, in the fediverse everyone is equal:)

    But the main difference is that Misskey doesnt have an API, so native apps can't be built (if im not mistaken), so they make their web app better optimized.
    Mastodon however has the options of having many clients. I think that's the main difference.

  • This is so true :blobcatbigsob:
