  • Disagree with the "anyway" thing. Traditionally, Diablo games haven't grown their legs until the expansion/revision; where they became completely different (and better) games. This was true with D2/LoD, and certainly true with D3/RoS.

    I reserve hope.

  • Lemme guess on the two cheevos:

    "Bounce the 'rang 25 times"
    and
"Equip a certain relic and do some boss fights"

For the first, just find an enemy you fight CLOSE to and just button mash.

For the second, it's not hard, just do it on NG+ and start EARLY.

Also, did you do the Kickstarter? If so, what's your statue code, I'll check you out – would share mine but don't want to dox myself based on what i provided.

  • Try Sea of Stars, it scratches that Chrono Trigger classic RPG itch, while nearly completely eliminating the grinding. I got every achievement in it, and at no time did it feel like a slog.

    • Wanna get every item? There's a feature that facilitates that, which lets you know what areas still need to be swept, near the endgame.
    • Feel like you're not leveling fast enough? There's an easily purchased in-game item to double XP (toggleable)
    • Only got time for short sessions? Save points are everywhere

And yet, the game isn't too easy, either.

  • Instead of NOTA party, a quorum requirement. If not enough people vote to meet a quorum for a riding, the results are invalid and the election is redone. Further, due to the low engagement, all candidates who previously ran for said riding are barred from running again. Same idea as "None of the Above" party being formalized, but also increases engagement; sitting out means, literally, "meh, they all suck."

I mean, FFS, my condominium needs a quorum to do something obvious like getting our AC chiller upgraded; and yet, only 18% of eligible voters can give someone like Doug Ford a fucking majority?!

  • You want me to quit with my blind hatred of Alberta? Then shut up with your fucking ads!

I'm sick of watching them, I'm sick of hearing them. I live in Ontario and don't give a shit about what your province or MAGA-loving Premier has to say.

  • Regarding VR, Monado (OpenXR for Linux) continues to improve, they'll get WMR going, completely, eventually.

Edit: it's further along than I thought. Apparently you can get even hand tracking working. Gotta look into it further, but it appears that you use Monado as your OpenXR client, along with ALVR/ALXR.

  • René's.
