  • Unfortunately not that The Cube.

  • There’s less pictures there and it’s sold out. I tend not to link to storefronts too because I’m not a salesman.

  • I checked with Tetris 99 forums and they say the d-pad is good. I cried all the way to the store and back because that’s basically two Xbox controllers in price but I can confirm that this controller is really really good. Still feel scammed about digital triggers but at least I can power up my console from the couch.

  • What was the reason given for removing the post? You’re leaving out some important stuff which is a tell for shit stirrers.

  • How is the d-pad on the new Pro controller?

I just connected old Pro controller and not only does it not wake Switch 2 from sleep, I was reminded very quickly how ridiculously bad the d-pad is on that thing. Given how expensive Pro 2 controller is, especially compared to 8bitdo Ultimate, that d-pad better be Gameboy-level accurate.

In other controller related findings my very old 8bitdo SN30 Pro+ doesn’t connect and there’s no firmware update (there is one for new models though). For now I’m using Mayflash X adapter with Dual Shock 4 but I’m being driven mad by the location of USB ports on Switch docks and how bad that dongle looks.

  • What’s nice is that games with dynamic resolution scaling look better even if they didn’t have performance issues on Switch 1.

  • For all the talk of how uneducated and stupid a PiS voter must be, it looks increasingly like it’s the KO voters that seem to be uneducated in matters of economy, which ultimately is the most important thing, and very easy to judge based on your own conditions.

PiS made people’s lives better. Their rule coincided with extremely prosperous time for Poland and it’s not a fluke. Contrast that with „Tusk’s green island” from the 2008 GFC times when I worked for 3.5PLN/h with no healthcare, no paid days off and no pension. Am I dumb to prefer PiS to KO? At least these guys have economists that are not economic flat-earthers like Balcerowicz.

  • It’s already filled with walkthrough/guide spam with no journalism to be found. Pass.

I don’t care that it’s so that you get traffic from Google - why should anyone care if those guys created an entirely clickfarm focused website?

  • Weren’t the reviews delayed because there’s supposed to be a huge software update that changes things so much that this isn’t representative of anything you’ll get to use? Supposedly. This will be a curiosity for retro enthusiasts 20 years down the line.

  • They made it tiered last year - some titles like CoD are on GamePass Ultimate only.

  • If you make money on YouTube you can afford iPhone Pro probably. You probably already have one for shooting quality video because what else is there at this budget?

  • Going by number of features isn’t really a way to tell what’s premium. For me the bar is set really low which is not having ads, which most budget Android phones fail at.

  • They've just done this to create artificial value for the "Pro" models.

Correct. They found out professionals have money to afford premium hardware and software so you can charge them that. Perfectly reasonable way to make money, little competition in that space as opposed to general purpose budget stuff.

  • I’m sure we’ll find much evidence for hobbyists on Lemmy having different use cases from the general public but Apple wasn’t ever interested in supporting that niche at budget prices because there’s little money to be made there.

Regular person doesn’t need much offline storage because they download apps from the App Store, listen to music from a streaming service and sync photos to iCloud or Google Photos. Those people probably shouldn’t store their data offline either way because they won’t back it up properly. It’s another case of Apple treating general public like incompetent grannies but they’re kind of right about that.

  • They let iCloud do the thing. Their computers don’t have that much storage.

  • People discuss this as if they connected their phones to their computers more than once in the past 5 years.

  • Redlib does that but it’s a game of cat and mouse these days. Facebook fought off web scrapers and while Reddit is much less technically competent they’ll get there too eventually.
