  • It'll never happen, but more people ought to vote with their wallets or else this kind of thing will just keep happening.

  • In Vietnamese I think a lot of it is metaphorical and used to convey personality traits or situations.

For example "mập như con heo" means fat like a pig. Or "ngu như bò" means stupid like a cow.

  • I am almost Lemmy/Piefed exclusive now. Sometimes I visit Reddit for some niche topics but I'm usually logged out and never comment there.

  • Wish more of my contact list would switch over to Signal. It's nearly the same. I don't see why it's so hard for some people to just start using Signal instead of WhatsApp.

    Oh well.

  • I believe this is why Japanese fishermen will sometimes use the ikijime method where you kill the fish fast. I believe it also improves the quality of the meat too.

  • Well done Mastodon.social.

Even if it may do much, it's still better than not doing it.

  • Not enough people in the groupchat haha

  • Her constant need to create division and outrage is exhausting.

  • I'm not quite sure what this is and why I should use this over Lemmy .... but I'd like to give it a try lol! Also very cool how the Fediverse allows for different entry points and view the same content.

    Congrats on the expansion!

  • Wow. I didn't realize so many people here were anti sports. Interesting.

I do miss the sports from Reddit so I still go back for that. But I've also decided to try to be the change ... So I've started to post more in the sports communities around here.

It's probably the last thing I still go back to Reddit for. Otherwise Lemmy is my go to.

  • Btw that potato uses Arch.

  • I switched to Boost a few weeks ago. I've also been happy with it.

Good bye Sync. Been using Sync since the Reddit days :(

  • It would definitely be nicer to see the Linux community grow here.

But hey. I'm on Linux and I'm here with y'all. :)

  • Bruh I already voted lmao. And 2 million others.

Not that his plan would have changed my mind. No way I would have voted for him anyways.

  • I have been using Tuxedo OS for the past few months.

I just wanted to use something that was Ubuntu based with KDE.

KDE Neon sounded a bit too bleeding edge to be used safely as a daily driver. And Kubuntu is maybe a bit too conservative for me.

Tuxedo OS seems nicely balanced between that and so far it's been great.
