Ugh. My mother is a Qanon victim. She still spouts conspiracy theories to me half the time I talk to her.

I know why they think the way they do, and it's brainwashing from being raised Christian. I was raised that way so I do understand the thought behind it, but it's so hard to have compassion for people who never care to try to understand people who don't believe in that. I'll try though.

That's the approach I've taken but not because I'm cynical about it, rather I hate conflict.

I enabled it all. I read through what they collect and it's all very mild.

I use KDE which is why I'm interested in this in the first place. I think I'll enable it.

Damn. My last Jobs’s security training was done by him and they were actually the only I’ve ever enjoyed. I’m going to buy his book.

I used a VPN to sign up and pay like $2.50 US per month for it. That's worth it for no ads to me.

The second one

It was fun, and probably my second favorite of the three.

I don’t know how I feel about it. On one hand, it makes for less of an echo chamber. On the other hand, their thoughts are fucking stupid and it hurts my brain to see them.

I mean, I think they're definitely still in the minority. It seems like there's a larger proportion of them here than on reddit. I see more of their opinions here. Maybe that's just how the algo works here regarding upvotes & downvotes and how comments are displayed.

Why does it seem like there are a ton more conservatives here on Lemmy than there were on Reddit?

Would you be open to PRs for iPad support? I have one and use the app on it often. I’ve been considering doing a few fixes.
