  • It has many benefits. Many. At least if article is correct. Doesn't burn. It allows for energy storage which is huge when you take into the account renewable energy generation. It might even allow you to store surplus at home. It's less weight which results in less consumption.
Also what makes you say that hydrogen failed. AFAIK perhaps for cars is not viable right now, but for bigger vehicles it might be very convenient.
Edit: also doesn't require huge improvements of energy infrastructure.

  • Sadly there were not very well equipped units in first place or there weren't many of them, because arms industry wants a perpetual war, not a quick victory. Looks like the oil faction doesn't know what arms industry faction does. Or they were simply delusional.

  • You are right, though. Ukraine needs more and better weapons to kick Russians out. There are only two possible outcomes, either Russia conquers Ukraine or they are kicked out. Instead of giving the edge to Ukraine, west is playing on perpetual war, so the war industry profits - at least it looks like that. And of course, blood is mostly on Putin's hands.

  • Failure or not depends on the goals. And by that it probably failed as they were aiming for retaking Crimea or at least split it in half. Also a lot of ground taken during counteroffensive is now lost again due to Russian offensive. Sadly so.
