  • Ha! They'll take it from the workers AND raise the prices of whatever products they're selling then pass the cost onto us for a tidy bit of extra profit. The leeches have to suck as much blood out of us as possible.

  • I've been thinking of it like what happened to Nicolai Caucescu. Sure, his death shouldn't have happened and he should have had a trial for his crimes, corruption, and abuses of power; but, Romania came out better afterwards.

  • I contend that most things wrong with America can be attributed to a few people, two of them of Richard Nixon and Ronald Reagan. A stupid healthcare system? Nixon. College costing so much? Reagan showed Nixon by doing while California as governor. The war on drugs? Nixon and Reagan. The housing crisis? Reagan's finance sector deregulation. High wealth disparity? Reagan's business regulations.

  • The federal judge presiding over the church’s bankruptcy, Meredith Grabill, at one point ruled that the seal on case-related information was so sacrosanct that it could not be lifted even with respect to Hecker and his potential crimes. In reaching that decision, Grabill said she intended to “destroy any [sealed] information that this court received” while litigating the issue about whether Hecker deserved to benefit from the bankruptcy’s secrecy.

What the actual hell is wrong with people?! Let's not forget that the Southern Baptist Church released an incomplete list of its child abusing priests. Incomplete not because they didn't know names, but because it wanted to protect them.

And conservatives say LGBT+ people are groomers and abusers. Never let them forget who the real predators are, where are they more likely to stay hidden and be protected.

  • Trump supporters in a couple of years: “He’s not hurting the people he needs to be”

They'll say it not knowing, or believing, conservatives are hurting the people they see the need to hurt which are 90-something percent of people in this country.

Article about that time they said exactly this

  • Reminder to everyone, college and university didn't used to cost verymuch. Governor of California Ronald Reagan didn't like the Vietnam War protests happening on University of California campuses and decided to change the university funding model to make students pay a lot more for their education and reduce the number of protesters. President Nixon saw this and asked for advice to stop college protests nationwide.

  • Posting if anyone is curious because the USA has been involved in a hell of a lot of coups. Mostly overthrowing democratically elected governments that were in the style of the USA's own FDR era to be replaced by murderous fascist military dictatorships who are pro American business and anti-worker -civil rights -democratic.

United States involvement in regime change

And after the coups happen, American officials celebrate them as a win for democracy and freedom.

  • Inside the home, police say, officers found Durham and the suspect, identified as Alejandra Boudreaux, struggling over a knife and an officer-involved shooting occurred.

Sounds like the cop just happened to be there. And a gun unrelated to the officer aimed itself at the home's resident. And the gun fired all by itself. Wow I hate when they use this kind of language, just say what's written in the headline!

  • Hegseth’s attorney said a payment was made to the woman as part of a confidential settlement a few years after the police investigation because Hegseth was concerned that she was prepared to file a lawsuit that he feared could have resulted in him being fired from Fox News, where he was a popular host. The attorney would not reveal the amount of the payment.

Well... that says a lot all on its own. Why the hell do they keep picking people who are not normal!

  • Tania Cepero López, a faculty union leader, isn’t a caricature of a leftist university professor. An English instructor at Florida International University, she has voted for Republicans and is married to a conservative Republican.

    ...

She has watched in horror in recent years, she said, as she saw the same government interference into education in the United States that she experienced in her native Cuba.

I hope Tania and her husband learned something from this. Who am I kidding, they'll probably support and vote for Republicans down ballot and wonder why things are getting worse. Good luck to the students of conservative run states.
